Out of the ones listed I think USA has most value they have IMO the best goalie in the tourney and a very balanced team. If they can score enough they should be at least in semis and then who knows. I still think(hope) Canada gets it done but it will all ride on fragile Frankie and fragile Frankie II in nets that will dictate if we Gold or bust.
I agree with you, except the Fragile Frankie comment. I like our goaltenders and don't see either of them letting us down. On to your other point, I think the USA has the best value. I like Canada to win (maybe a bit biased) but I don't see Russia doing too much. Their defence is subpar, and their team offence is filled with shoot-first players, so chemistry could be an issue. Sweden is missing Henrik Sedin, which means Daniel is almost useless without him. Their key players are aging, so Rask will have a big job ahead of him. The USA has no real weaknesses from what I see. They have a young, physical core up front, solid defence and a world-class goaltender. At +700, I think that's the best value in this tourney.

Crap shoot between Russia and Canada..... teams are stacked to insanity..... never counting out USA and sweden is dangerous this year.
Russians and swedes though will excel in the bigger ice surface. More room for their smaller quicker speedier guys.... they might dog out those big defensemen. But Canada has some seriously skilled guys too. These games are a little harder to cap because of the bigger ice surface. Also shootouts will be key. Not sure who has the goaltending edge..... I'd say USA has top notch goal tending hard to count them out as well.

For all the people backing Finland, I just want to point out that that odds for top goalscorer for Finland favour Jussi Jokinen. Do you really feel confident betting on a team who has Jussi Jokinen as the goal scorer their most relying on?

Sure is funny how USA and Finland were the 2 teams to blow up the scoreboard on the first day. The only team that impressed me that I watched was the States

It's just been announced that Henrik Zetterberg is out for the remainder of the Olympics. Sweden is done. I figured they'd have a hard time overcoming injuries to Henrik Sedin and Johan Franzen, but this hammers the nail in their coffin, IMO.

I don't think that guy would make the roster for Canada, Russia, Sweden or the USA. That just shows the lack of firepower for Finland.
K, i hope that you are now watching this Finland vs. Russia game so you can see how wrong you are. Jokinen is absolutely playing around with these vodkos.
If Jokinen was on Russias roster he would BY FAR be the best player.

Do you have a hard-on for Jokinen? He's an alright player, and I'll admit he's playing quite well in the Olympics, but I stand by my statement that he wouldn't even make the roster for Canada or USA.
