Basically a hedge to my Storm futures bet, which I took at +1767 after the Storm beat the Sparks by 88-63 on LA's home court in the beginning of June. In a perfect scenario I would have had the Sun playing the Storm in the finals as I had the Sun +2500 at the beginning of the season. Ah, those Sun gals.....sooooo disappointing, wonder if they'll trade Alyssa Thomas or Ogwumike in the off-season as they'll have to figure out how to get J. Jones on the court much more their next season and then figure out how not to blow so many second half leads.
This is the second most perfect scenario as the Storm obviously have three chances to get it done for me. They've been the best road team in the league this year with maybe the exception of the Mercury and won't have to try to deal with two unstoppable offensive forces in Taurasi and Griner in this one. Tolliver is no Taurasi and EDD, in her condition is no Griner and the Mystics don't have a Bonner as a third option either.
The Mystics have been 3-37 from the 3 line in this series one would think they'd be exponentially better at home, but evidently they are playing in ANOTHER venus tonight again, which negates their advantage somewhat. The Mystics may get this one tonight, but if they don't, it's all ok.
