4-3 WNBA
Chicago playing for its playoff life, maybe Minnesota is playing for 4th seed but I think its Lynx will be resting players.
FWIW, Chicago is in a very favourable position to make the playoffs after the Sparks loss last night. They have two more games to the Sparks one and only need to win one of these two games to secure the 8 seed. Granted, their next game is against a better squad in Connecticut but the Sun have nothing to play for until the playoffs start as they are stuck at 3.
Even if Chicago goes 0-2, they would still get in if the Sparks lose their last game against Seattle who has beaten them twice this year and once quite recently. Chicago has the tiebreaker with LA.
Sky played super desperate in their last game and stomped Indy. They could very well win and cover tonight, but I don’t think we see the same kind of desperation that we saw last game given how things have developed in the standings.
Curious why you think Minnesota will rest players. This doesn’t really seem like their culture to me. This is a team a lot of analysts expected to be in full rebuild mode this season and now they have a chance to enter the playoffs with home court advantage. Any reports out there to support this thinking? Even if some players sit, this is a fairly deep team that is incredibly well coached and plays hard every night.
