The Indiana Fever famously began the season 3-10 before improving dramatically since then, going 8-4 over the past month. In their most recent game on Sunday, they won on the road for the fifth time, defeating the Lynx. But did you know….that each of the Fever’s previous four road wins were followed by another road game? And that the Fever went a dismal 0-4 SU and ATS in those games? Check it out…
On May 24th, the Fever won their first game of the season when they defeated the Sparks in L.A. They had to play the next night in Las Vegas and lost by 19.
On June 7th, they nipped the Mystics in Washington by a basket. Following a couple days off, they lost in Connecticut by 17.
On June 21st, they easily beat the Dream in Atlanta by twelve. In their next game in Chicago, they allowed an 82-70 fourth quarter lead become an 82-82 tie and then an 88-87 loss.
On June 30th, the Fever won another nationally-televised road game with a late comeback in Phoenix. A couple days later, however, they took their second 19-point beatdown against the champion Aces in Vegas.
So will history repeat itself in this final WNBA game before the league takes a monthlong break? Will the Fever fall flat again or is it asking too much of the Dallas Wings to compete here? The Wings began the season with a 3-2 record but have gone 2-17 since.

Have caught my eyes in the past few weeks. Dallas is not the team that started on the year. It Should be a competitive game.

And Odyssey Sims as well. She signed with the Wings on June 25th and has scored at least 10 points in their 7 of the 8 games she’s played.

I suspect that a better play than the Wings +4.5 is to wait until halftime. The Wings have fared better in the 2nd half of regulation in 6 of their last 7 home games, though the exception happened to be their most recent home game.

The Wings came out with tremendous energy. Let’s see if they can maintain that. So far they look a whole lot better than a 5-19 squad.
Caitlin Clark’s 3-point attempts in the 1st quarter looked no better than mine.

Based on the current score, it doesn't look like you'll be playing the Wings at the half.

The Wings are playing with a ferociousness they’ve likely never displayed before. They’re looking to embarrass - not just defeat - the infinitely more popular Indiana Fever.
