Sun clinched first seed, Alyssa is probable (mins restriction) but the Liberty have to be up for this game if they want playoffs. They face Mystics in a massive game and need to compete in this game if they want any chance. Sparks play Dream next followed by Dallas and the Mystics have NY and Lynx. Hopkins needs to get it through his players head to hold the ball and not turn it over so much and I also wouldn’t be surprised if Miller gives some of his girls shorter time on the court seeing that they have clinched 1st seed and don’t need to risk injury. 

Love it Oz man best of luck. I'm on the over 148.5 as it feels like you said it'll be a closer more contested game rather than the 2 previous blowouts. NY season on the line so should play desperate but gawd they suck haha!

 Because Alyssa is back and the Sun want to send Hiedeman and Jasmine home with an engagement win. Who knew they were muff diving on road trips???

 Cheers Wagers. Just need them to control the ball. Think the first 5 mins of this game will tell us what kind of game we are going to see. Sun came out red got against LA the other day opening up with a 17-0 run and it was over after that.  They started slow against Mercury and got their shite together but they are coming off a road trip on little rest to face this NY team

NY +13 really does seem like the play.  Not because I trust NY but 13 is a lot and what is CT’s motivation?  It’s to stay healthy and give Alyssa a few minutes.  I feel like emptying my account all on this but the one X factor is I think Curt Miller is a better coach than Walt Hopkins and I wonder if Curt desires to win this one going away and will put the screws to a reeling NY team.

  Very good points mate. Maybe he doesn’t rest his players at all considering the team got 5 weeks rest during the Olympics break and he may want them to continue going through their usual game plan and keep it rolling into the post-season. They also get a decent weeks rest as well due to the bye rounds so this will be a good chance to keep playing his players their normal minutes. Not sure exactly what his plan is but with Howard in this game and their season on the line, I do like Libertys chances of keeping this game within the spread and they just need to hold the ball and limit their little mistakes they make

 I've been looking at Curt Miller's tendencies at the end of the season since 2017 when they have clinched or have nothing to gain.  It look likes he plays his starters for 20-25 mins giving the bench plenty of work load.  I did see some outliers because it's hard for me to decipher the circumstances of why he played his starters more in a particular game.

Yeah there’s little doubt the Liberty will be one and done on their possessions.  No second chance points.

 Very undersized compared to Sun and no one on the NY team can stop Jonquel but I do like Howard being in this line up tonight compared to their 17 point loss against the Sun last time. She has the experience that is needed in these big games and so does Whitcomb. They both need to lead this young NY team around the court tonight and if Onyenwere comes out shooting poorly, Hopkins needs to pull her ASAP. Rookie, big game she may choke and he needs to change that immediately

Agreed that the value in tonight's game lies with NY which has everything to play for against CON with nothing to play for. Good teams also need motivation to win games & cover big margins. Howard is the two way player & key for NY, they also have 4 players avg double digit points per game. I'm with you on this play mate

 Great to see you mate. Hope you have been well. Been in lockdown now 13 weeks so going a little stir crazy. 

Hasn’t been the season I thought so record is pretty poor. Found the ladies to be very tough this year with some interesting scoring droughts, players not showing up and complete team meltdowns.

Hoping the WNBL and NBL is a little friendlier for me in the next few months

 So in the two meetings, Sun out rebounded NY 24-19 in a 85-64 win and the next game it was 35-29 which Sun out rebounded NY in a 71-54 win. So it hasn’t been too bad and with Howard added to the mix (she missed both games) I think they can keep this game a little closer than expected

So first meeting was 38-22 Sun won the rebound battle. 

and second meeting was 42-34 Sun won the rebound battle

i think Howard can definitely help the NY grabbed boards tonight, they just need to shoot better and limit their TO’s

Yep, you can’t make this stuff up at all. NY up 52-49 at the 1.5 min mark of the 3Q and then allow a ridiculous 29-8 run to close out the quarter. This bet is toast.
