Playoffs begin

In my opinion this is when the real playoffs tip off. I do like 5v8 and 6v7 but I wish the winners of that game at least played the 3rd and 4th seed in a beat of 3. Lynx were flat in their game against the Sky and their season is over after just one poor game. Stewie missing for the Storm was just too much to overcome and Mercury survived. At least give 3 and 4 seeds another chance to try and win a 3 game series. 

So we have lines and the books believe that Bonner will play given the fact they have put Sun at -7.5. Total is 152.5. Sky are 2-1 SU against the Sun but both wins Jonquel was in Europe. Aces laying -5.5 to the Mercury who can definitely be dangerous with SDS, DT, Griner and Turner. Expect big mins. SDS went onto Twitter last night to complain about the hotel at Mandalay Bay. Her words were “44 mins OT game, 8 hours travel to Vegas and the hotel room is dirty at Mandalay Bay”. Whilst Aces have been sitting around in air con for the past week. This series will be great and could really go the 5 games. Total is 169.5 right now which seems high but Vegas can score 100 if they want. 

I fully agree on the play in games Oz needs to be best of 3 at least as 1 and done is too quick. I'm going under both games tonight. Any SDQL stats on playoff teams playing 3rd game in 6 nights? Seems like if ever there was a spot for blowouts and unders this is it. Best of luck!

Bonner almost certainly in tonight

I feel like home teams will cover. The travel will be a factor. It sounds like the Mercury already have a built in excuse if they lose.

 Hey buddy, unfortunately the old SDQL database has been closed off and a new one has been implemented. In the process of learning the new code but it looks like WNBA stats are no longer going to be offered 

Really interesting first games. Very impressed with Sky but Sun won’t go down lightly. They do have guard issues but Sky won’t be able to keep up this for every single game. Sun were cold to begin with and plates catch up, doesn’t help having that much rest. 

Aces looked good and going into that game, Riquna had a shocking playoff point average. Before that game, she actually only averaged half of her season points in playoffs compared to reg season. She came out firing today. If Aces want this title, they have the pieces this year with Plum and Hamby off the ben h. Don’t forget last year in the bubble they lost Hamby and Plum was out all season

Con/Chi  Very high level passing and team basketball, but still a little sloppy with missed layups and turnovers. Parker has too much intensity for the Sun.  Sun need to match the intensity.  

Phx/Aces   Aces look fantastic and deep.  Aces are unbeatable when Riquina plays good.  Phx has to hope that game 1 was a fluke and not the norm.  

Aces/Sun is the marquis matchup which will make the WNBA look good

Merc in the finals would probably get the highest TV ratings on account of Taurasi.  Same with Chicago and Parker...Sun are very talented and Jonquel won the MVP, but they are still relatively unknown.

One of us has to dig up our preseason rankings.  If I recall,,, I think I liked the Sun more than you...we were both wrong on Chi, LV, Phx.  I was way off on the Mystics.  Also off on Dallas.  I called the Lynx perfectly....

 Let me try and find it but you’re definitely right mate, I was not high on Sun at all. I actually had them missing the players and that is probably why my season has been horrible this year. 

I did have Mystics up there but that was with EDD and that didn’t go to plan. 

We have to think the Sun hit back tomorrow. They don’t want to go to Chicago down 2-0. This is a team that went 15-1 at home this season and really, can the Sky keep up this energy for a third game in 5 nights? 

Aces look great, but I don’t trust Riquna staying hot. Think that was a statement game for her but let’s face it, she isn’t Maya Moore or Taurasi and I doubt she keeps this form up. Brondello will make her changes and think they can limit Riquna. Only issue is, then you have Cambage, Gray, Hamby, Plum and Wilson to handle 

Even Jackie Young is playing good basketball.  I don't think the Suns have much chance in the series, but I think they can win a game maybe 2.  

I don't think the Sun played that bad of a game. Sky actually missed several easy layups.  I think the Sky had a lot more desperation but that should not be the case game 2 for the reasons you mention. 

I took both dogs tonight because I think there will be close games, but I think both favorites win...this is my first game bet of the season.  I live kind of far from the book, but I made the trip this week to bet football - I will probably jinx them and they'll both lose by 30

I lost my futures on the Mystics (too many injuries) and Lynx (had them at +2500 before the season).  I put some on Mercury when they were +2000 but I don't think they have a chance unless Taurasi really gets it going...
