I am not buying this team yet. They are too young and need to go though some pain before they make thier way to the top.
A lot of talent no question. On paper they look great and an elite coach.
I do know that I smell a stinky fish here.
If I had to bet a Championship future ( I really don't do futures well ) my money would be on the Sun and Dream. The odds are only 5-1 and 6-1 so betting both stinks too.
I dont care how much talent the Stars/Aces have, until i see their record improve from 23-79 the last 3 years combined. They have a big hill to climb and it will take time.
Leaning to the Dream and Fever on day one.

Don't let me defer you away from what you think. If that is what you are thinking, then run with it. My analysis of this Vegas team could be completely wrong and the whole Cambage/Wilson combo may not work because they both love having the ball and can only share so much. Its up to Bill to get them working together.
I don't have any over/under markets with the 7 books I use so that isn't good for me right now but if anything, I would take the Sky's over for sure because that will be hovering around 13 wins for the season and I expect them to be a big threat this season with their line-up. Don't let pre-season fool you.

Thanks Aussie I do think big things are on tap for Vegas but this season will be a threat to many bettors. Then boom next year they do what they were expected to do this season. to reach 23 the Aces will have to get better than their 2-15 road record last year. In general this team is on the rise. They kinda remind me of the hype the Sun were generating last season.
I like Chicago too. They were on my radar and now having you confirm will make me pay close attention. Also beaver Fever ball (not straight up) but for dog spreads should be doing much better.
Selling the Mercury. They have a covering machine on the road but I think this season is going to be a huge test for them.
All these thoughts are just what I have in mind before any games. If I am on a good path then I will stick with those teams.

Its always good as you know to have certain teams on your radar.
Completely agree with your assessment on the Fever. They will still be a bad team, not as bad as last season and they will cover games (hopefully wins some large under dog games - Like vs Sparks last year a double digit dog) and then there are teams that will fall away.
Mercury face 9 weeks without DT, we all know how much she is needed. They do have Sancho Lyttle back and if you remember last year, they were flying when they had both DT and Sancho but when Sancho got injured, they fell away quickly.
As for the Sun, I think it was the disruption of Chiney coming back and I am glad they got rid of her because Jones will be and is a very good candidate for reg season MVP if the Sun do well which they should.
Counting down the days and cannot wait for the season.

I agree with you Aussie on Jones having a monster year. She excelled 2 years ago when Chiney was injured and things just didn't work out with Chiney, JJ and Thomas last year. I think the Conn trade was good as I also think Chiney is more concerned with her ESPN/broadcasting career than playing basketball. If you can find MVP odds, I think you could snag a great number on JJ.
The only reason I wouldn't sell the Aces is because of the other injuries that have occurred this off-season. I feel like it has almost defaulted to the Mystic and Aces because they are the only teams at full strength. That being said, I know Parker and Turasi are going to eventually come back, so that will make things interesting. If every team was at full strength, I don't think the Aces are a top-4 team. We'll find out in 3 days, though!!

I like the Sky to go over 500 for the season, as their coach was their weakest link, and if the new guy is even average I expect them to win around 18 games.
The Aces? I'll have to disagree with you there,...I think they dominate...Laimbeer has two bigs to work with that are in the top 3 in the league.
Now if Plum is still the point guard and she can't get the ball to the right people, then maybe they lose 10 games.
And maybe I am totally wrong, which would not be the first time, for sure.

At these current over priced lines fade or pass. If they become dogs or more reasonably priced later in the year after they have had more time to get things operating at a higher level then I will change my mind.
My overall feeling is when they play most of these bad teams they are not good enough to win point spread bets.
As of now there are no discounts on their lines. -11.5 on the road

11.5 AF LOSS to the Liberty.
