W Tuesday and futures play

I have two active futures to win the WNBA title:

1)  Storm +1766, I'll win 7.8 units if they win the title

2)  Dream +450, I'll win 9 units

3)  Sun +2500, lost 0.6 units.

My futures play on the Dream play is not looking too astute  as they are now +550 to win the title....Elizabeth Montgomery who was so stellar in the last half of the season has been a non-factor in the playoffs, Hayes has been average and Breeland and Williams have been average.   None of them have played anywhere near what they were playing like in the second half of the season when they were the best team in the league.  Maybe Hayes actually makes some of her drives to the bucket or gets some calls or Montgomery finds her stroke and they get Della Donne to disappear tonight as she is prone to do in big moments, we'll see.

Tonight I'm hedging, kind of.

I'm taking the Mercury +5' for two units,..........

best case scenario is the Storm wins and the Mercury cover and I get a middle.  I contemplated taking the Mercury on the moneyline, but decided against it. 

Everyone now knows that Taurasi has a huge streak of winning in elimination games, and the Storm have taken a page out of the Sun's book and have choked away numerous big leads, difference being that the Storm have hung on to win some tight ones and the Sun didn't and now are working on their suntans.   

The scary player for the Mercury has been Bonner, she is the 3rd piece of the puzzle that if Taurasi decides to pout or not try too much, which happened last game.   Bonner can now ratchet up her game and carry the team.  I don't expect Taurasi to not come to play tonight.

And, what if a accidental(?) elbow gets Sue Bird in the face, the Storm, as we saw in game 4 are toast with Canada as the point guard as she was -16 in plus/minus minutes while on the floor.   She cannot make her teammates better as Bird always seems to do.

If the Mercury wins the game (and Atlanta doesn't win title) I have lost one unit total on my futures plays.

Indigo right on about Canada thing is the girl has extreme talent reminds me of Jewel Lloyd but she’s just not ready right now to play any kind of minutes

the other girl they put in after Canada is decent but yeah bird goes so goes Seattle

Seattle dominates in the 4th, Sue Bird singlehandedly wills her team to victory......I'll take that loss on the Mercury in exchange for Seattle having a chance at winning the title.

Sammi Whitcomb plays much of the 4th,........ she is a much, much better player than Jewell Lloyd, and she should get extended minutes in the finals where they'll need her 3 point shooting.  I'm letting Lloyd go after this season....she's got a pretty shot, but can't drive, play defense or make any effort plays whatsoever.

Phoenix played great, and it took Seattle's coaching staff 4.5 games to figure out who should be on the court for important minutes.    I'm not playing Canada more than 4 minutes in the finals.

Alisha Clark is a winning player, hits every three, makes the opposing sniper work very hard for their point, gets every big loose ball.
