With such a short season like in NCAAB every game is important so you are battling to the end as there is always a chance the other team commits a stupid technical or flagrant once you get the ball back and you go to the line to shoot a few and then possession, another 3, that 10 point lead can quickly become 4 or 5 with only a 5 second loss of the clock.

A super longshot, sure but anything can happen so battle to the end as if there were not 82 games in the season.
