Prophet1 YTD WNBA 0-0-0 CONTEST 0-0-0

Phoenix Mercury comes from losing to Minnesota, and is ready for his first win, this team is very different from last year which was plagued by injuries this year this renovated and with many options, however the Indiana team comes losing to Dallas 79-90 L was very wrong in painting, not to mention the 3-point shots.

My move for today is Phoenix Mercury -2

Wash TT over 77.5 I really like Thibault as a head coach, he's been preaching a faster pace of play for his team, they had a disappointing home loss last time out and I think this is a good spot for them to score a bit more against a Tulsa team that can give up a lot of points and on 3rd rd game in a row

I am bias as I know Coach Thibault, but I couldn't agree more. His record speaks for itself. I also think he has gotten screwed by always being good and never getting the top pick (i think only did once with Tina Charles). 
Washington is one, if not the only team without a true star and he could have just tanked when he started there for a couple top picks but he has brought them to the playoffs every year. Its truly remarkable. 
Also being able to find talent like Emma, and bring out the best in Latta and others. 
Still tough to win when you dont have a true star like every other team they face in the playoffs.

Chemistry should be better for the Mercury tonight.   Fever losing at home to the Wings was not a good sign.

Dallas +3.  The mystics with latta and ruffin-pratt out, may not have enough to out score the Wings, nor cut off the driving lanes for Sims.

Good to hear that! And yes he's easily one of the best minds in the game, but a coach can only adjust so much. Not to beat a dead horse, but they do go through scoring droughts and thats a huge problem when you dont have a star. I will need to watch some more of them. Also tough without Latta, but great sign that Taylor Hill started off hot

wash scored 76 last gm against ny while shooting 36%
dallas scored 71 last gm against ny as well shooting 34%
 
dallas is one of the higher paced teams and wash "seems" like they would like to play a bit faster than last year. 

i think both teams shoot at least 40% and we see the total go over

World open was Fever-3.5, I'm not passing up 8.5 points of value. Last year the mercury were bad as road favs towards the end. 2-9 ats last 11 on the road.

I'm not sure Taurasi is in full game shape yet, she seemed to slow down late in the Lynx game. Griner looked lost, she didn't look like she was into the game at all.

Mercury starting off the year against both Finals teams on the road is some nasty scheduling imo.

I'll back the home doggie trying to avoid an 0-2 start at home.

Dallas Wings @ Washington Mystics: Over 152.

Both these teams have not shown much D lately letting the offensively challenged Liberty hit 78+ against them both at the start of the season. Mystics missing their guard Latta along with Mallott, Copper, Sanders and Ruffin-Pratt so expect a lot of inside shots and in the paint game from the Mystics. The Wings love taking 3's and after a days' rest after hitting 71 against arguably the leagues best D,  I think they will increase the tempo against this Mystics squad and we see a total click over 160.

Complete opposite from last season. Over galore to start the season off. I don't expect this to continue after the Olympics break and teams will know what they have to do after the break in order to have a good record. Remember, the rule changes are HUGE to the league in relation to who makes the post-season. No more 4 teams from the one conference moving forward, purely based on win percent which is what the NBA needs to do as well so you get rid of the junk from the first round of post-season.

Ugly game tomorrow, Sun -2 vs the Stars in SA. Hard to take the Stars at all as they have lost Robinson for the season and have so many rookies in their line-up. Sun have a good line-up IMHO and meet a good Sky team the other night in a home opener and if the Sun want to make any challenge this season, they need to beat teams like Stars and Storm. Lean Sun tomorrow at the -2.

Early game tomorrow. I lean Under right away. Especially w/ all the overs today. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Stars and Sun probably have the biggest roster changes of any 2 teams in the league. Makes me feel there will be a lot of dysfunction when these gals run their sets etc..

Oz...Fever had ML written all over them today and I snoozed

It will slowly pick up as well as the NBA slowly finishes.. The Sun haven't had too much of an overhaul. Added good rookies as you know buddy but the Stars have had a massive change-up. Losing the leading assister is massive for the Stars. IMHO, they will lack points. McBride can't do it all and Jefferson is only new. May struggle to hit 70+ in most games. Cannot to wait to they play the Liberty because I will be all over their TT unders.
