Great to see Toronto win the Championship, new blood is always good. Now we get to focus on the W which I think is the best forum in here, no bickering or trolls, just good peeps having fun making money.
I think this is a pivotal season for the W. They need to expand their fanbase, increase attention and increase viewership, they've said so in the press and it's their goal. They've started to try to accomplish this by the most tv games ever, they've moved a team to Las Vegas and brought in a new League President, all effort to expand market share in really a League that not many sports fans care about.
Their biggest hurdles are a majority of sports fans really don't have the W on their radar nor care, most see it as an inferior product to the NBA. Second big challenge is lack of talent, it's evident every week when you see the girls go 6minutes with 2pts scored, the lack of scoring is hurting their image. This is a quantity that can be somewhat "fixed" just like when the NBA instituted new rules to increase pace, touch fouling to reward offensive players, etc...
I'm kinda quirky in that I look at angles no other bettors think of, sometimes it leads to riches sometimes not. The ones I'm following this season is the need to increase fanbase and the only way you do that is by increasing scoring. This is tough b/c I'm an under guy so I have to pick my spots. I lost 2 bets by a bucket each on the Dallas game last night b/c the girls could not score to save their life 1st half, that will happen but is frustrating to watch bad basketball and missed layups.
