TUESDAY'S CARD

WNBA YTD 49-39 (+15.5 units)
ATLANTA-DETROIT OVER 156 ( 4 UNITS)
This team started year with 4 straight unders. Since then 7 out of their last 9 games have gone OVER the posted total. Not sure if Atlee Mahorn had anything to with it, but one thing i have noticed is this. The Shock always let their opponent dictate the pace of the game. Evident in an earlier match up this year when on 6/26 Atlanta beat Detroit 96-86. In that game the over was never in doubt. On 7/18 against phoenix there was 187 points in that game. The following game against Sacramento there was only 134 points in that game. That is quite a contrast from teams that run versus teams that play half court. Shavonte Zellous loves to push the ball against teams that run-n-gun. She had 25 points in the loss in Atlanta. Katie Smith will fire up some three's, she's been on fire lately. One important thing i forgot to mention ATLANTA PLAYS NO DEFENSE.

NEW-YORK-CHICAGO UNDER 146 ( 2 UNITS)
I'm not much into trends but one thing i noticed when capping this game was that the Liberty havn't played back to back overs this season. Their last game against atlanta went over the total so if that's any indication this game will stay UNDER. New-York is a terrible road team and they don't score many points on the road.If you take away the 2 games in Atlanta and phoenix this is their point production in their other 4 road games 67,54,57 and 60
CONNECTICUT-4.5 (FIRST HALF) 2 UNITS
In about a couple of weeks the monarch are going to pack it in and just play out the string. They have NO skilled players. Connecticut will blow them right out tonight.
PHOENIX-3.5 ( 2 UNITS)
Even with Taurasi not playing i think the mercury will cover this game.
MINNESOTA-PHOENIX OVER 179 ( 2 UNITS)

There was no overnight line on the la-sea game and that is due to the uncertainty of Lauren Jackson. My lean would be on the Under if it's anywhere between 142-146.
