The LIV Golf season carries on with this week's inaugural Hong Kong event at Hong Kong Golf Club.
Joaquin Niemann is fresh off his second victory of the season at Jeddah and the bump in his golf odds has him entering the week No. 2 on the board behind only Jon Rahm, who continues the search for his first LIV win.

Hong Kong Golf Club course notes
Hong Kong Golf Club hosts LIV Golf for the first time this week. Hong Kong Golf Club is a Par-70, 6,710-yard track that hosts the Hong Kong Open every year, which is a co-sanctioned tournament between the European and Asian Tours.
This is a short course that's seen plenty of scoring over the past half-decade, with the winning score 17-under or better in all three Hong Kong Opens since 2018. With that said, it's still a tight course and accuracy will be key.
LIV Golf Hong Kong picks and predictions
Cameron Smith to win outright (+1,800)
This will undoubtedly be one of the most popular picks this week, but the first golfer we are going to target in Hong Kong is Cameron Smith. On the Asian Tour in 2023, Cameron Smith finished runner-up here at the Hong Kong Open with an impressive 18-under score, the second-best 72-hole score here since 2010.
The reason this number is so long is because Smith has not gotten off to the best start this season. He's still one of the most talented golfers in this field and we're in a great buy-low spot after his 43rd-place finish at Jeddah.
Smith’s accuracy is my greatest concern here, but his putter can make up for that fact considering he is the best greens player in this field. On top of that, Smith is not as inaccurate as these season’s results suggest thus far, and positive regression is likely looming.
He was a two-time winner on LIV last season, and I expect this trend of going in the right direction to continue this week.
Pick: Cameron Smith to win outright (+1,800 at bet365, 0.5 units)
Louis Oosthuizen to win outright (+2,200)
The other golfer to target this week is Louis Oosthuizen, who's had some spectacular rounds this season with his runner-up finish at Jeddah and ninth-place finish at Mayakoba. This early success is primarily due to his accuracy off the tee, ranking fifth on LIV in fairway hit percentage.
It will also help Oosthuizen’s cause that he's one of the only 26 golfers in this field to have previously played at Hong Kong GC. Furthermore, he's one of the only 10 golfers in this field to boast a previous Top-12 finish here.
We have experience, good form, and strong accuracy for Oosthuizen this week, and that's a recipe for success. I expect a big season for Louis, who's knocked on the door of a LIV Golf win over a handful of times since 2022.
Before the LIV season started, Oosthuizen went over to the European Tour to partake in the Alfred Dunhill Championship and AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. How did he fare? Back-to-back victories.
Pick: Loius Oosthuizen to win outright (+2,200 at DraftKings, 0.5 units)
