Bettors with BetMGM will have a brand new way to cash in thanks to a brand new first-of-its-kind partnership with hospitality industry giant Marriott Bonvoy.

As announced in a press release on Tuesday, players in licensed states across the U.S. will be eligible to link their BetMGM and Marriott Bonvoy accounts, earning BetMGM Rewards points that can be exchanged for Marriott Bonvoy points. Bettors can earn those points using both BetMGM’s sports betting app or playing online casino games and are eligible to exchange up to 100,000 points annually to redeem various rewards, including free nights across Marriott Bonvoy brand hotels.

“The collaboration with Marriott Bonvoy is a monumental differentiator for us,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt. “This partnership will extend our brand to millions of potential new customers while offering our players the unique benefit of utilizing their gameplay to tap into the world of Marriott Bonvoy’s unrivaled portfolio of experiences.”

In addition to exchanging points, BetMGM explains that linked accounts will also gain exclusive access to “games, experiences, and offers,” across BetMGM’s platforms.

"This landmark collaboration between Marriott Bonvoy and BetMGM goes beyond hospitality and gaming, unlocking new opportunities for members to ignite their passions and deepen connections with the people and places they love,” said Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Marriott International. “We are excited to welcome BetMGM members with more global access to more than 30 hotel brands,10,000 locations and a growing portfolio of exclusive and curated member experiences including sports, music, art, and culinary events around the world.”

First up for that exclusive access, and in honor of the collaboration’s launch, BetMGM and Marriott Bonvoy are set to collaborate with former NBA All-Star and Rookie of the Year Blake Griffin on a contest to win a curated trip to Los Angeles, notably including a one-on-one golf experience alongside the former Dunk Contest champion.

The latest collaboration also follows a continued theme with a previous partnership announced back in early February between the Sportsbook and Elon Musk’s X (Formerly Twitter). Announced in time for Super Bowl LVIII, BetMGM provides X users with odds and direct links to their sportsbooks through the social media giant.

BetMGM continues to shine

The collaboration continues a period of sustained growth for BetMGM, whose parent company recently reported a 14% increase in revenue in 2023, as well as a strong 36% year-over-year increase in gaming revenue.

That growth notably also reportedly occurred under unfavorable circumstances, with BetMGM parent company Entain reporting to investors “adverse sporting results impacting margins, safer gambling measures, and regulatory costs.”

“2023 presented a number of challenges for the Group, both industry-wide and Entain-specific. I am extremely proud of how our people around the world came together to navigate the business through an eventful and at times difficult year," said Stella David, interim CEO of Entain. "Against that backdrop, Entertain was still able to deliver overall revenue growth of 14% including our U.S. joint venture achieving revenue at the top end of expectations.”
