Sunday Night Football may have been stressful for all the Atlanta Falcons and Washington Commanders fans, but one bettor was in a severe dilemma.
Malik Nabers of the New York Giants and Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers both scored two touchdowns on Sunday and if Zach Ertz of the Washington Commanders also scored twice, then a massively difficult parlay would hit turning $15 into more than $68,000.
Before the Commanders-Falcons game kicked off, the cash out offer was $1,700. Ertz failed to find the end zone in the first half, but that changed in the third quarter with a 10-yard TD catch.

At that point, the cashout offer was less than $600 with just one quarter to go. Ertz was at five touchdowns for the entire season, not an ideal stat to hope for another.
Gambling HORROR story:

Bettor places 3-leg 2TD parlay to win $68k, &first 2 legs hit. Cash out option of almost $7k when Ertz scored his 1st TD. Lets it ride.
Accepting that Ertz will not catch 2nd TD, bettor cashed out for $500 in the 4th. THEN Ertz gets 2nd TD in OT😭 pic.twitter.com/cyG088wAfP
You can always wonder what you would do in that case, but this bettor took the money, $590, during the fourth quarter. However, there was more football to play, and overtime gave Ertz his second touchdown and instant regret for the ticket holder.
Hindsight is 20/20 and Twitter isn’t known for being compassionate, so all the comments after the cashout was announced did not give the bettor much credit. Hopefully this bettor stays away from social media, $590 is still more than what most two-touchdown parlay bettors end up with.
