A New Jersey bettor won more than $436,000 in a jackpot while playing on Caesars Palace Online Casino’s mobile app this past week.
The bettor, Craig W., from Newfoundland, New Jersey, won a total of $436,898 while spinning the reel on Da Vince Deluxe Ways using his mobile device. It's the biggest jackpot win on Caesars Palace Online Casino since its launch, leading to a Caesars Entertainment-hosted celebration for Craig and his friends through their Caesars Rewards program.
“This can’t be real life," was Craig's initial reaction to the jackpot win. "You see and hear about people winning a jackpot, but I never thought it would happen to me."
The jackpot winner was also given a complimentary stay at Tropicana Atlantic City, amongst other favors.
“We take pride in creating unforgettable moments for our online casino players and guests who play with us," said Matthew Sunderland, senior VP and chief iGaming officer at Caesars Digital. "Congratulations are in order for Craig and his exciting jackpot win that represents the biggest win we’ve seen so far on our new platform.”
Caesars' new iGaming platform
The iGaming industry is still young in the United States, but Caesars has already built a strong brand in this area. The company relaunched its new New Jersey online casino app in April 2023. iGaming and online U.S. casino games have been legal in the Garden State since 2013, well before most other states began to pass legislation favoring online sports betting and online casino games.
iGaming in the U.S. has not yet taken off like online sports betting has, although a look across the Atlantic at the U.K. reveals that online casino gaming is only going to continue to grow based on demand and the continual refinement of the mobile experience.
iGaming in New Jersey is quickly growing, especially compared to other states with legalized sports betting that currently restrict iGaming accessibility through online sportsbook apps.
The Caesars Palace Online Casino app includes table games like blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. Bettors can also compete in video poker, slots, and play with a live dealer through live stream, depending on the online casino game selected within the mobile app.
Caesars Interactive Entertainment reported a monthly gross revenue of $5.57 million in February 2024 while the Tropicana Casino took in an $11.4 million win.
