One of the largest sports betting operators in America is continuing to expand its offerings.

On Wednesday, DraftKings launched a new fantasy sports game — Pick6 — in six states across the U.S. The operator’s new standalone app is currently live in Maryland, Minnesota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

The fantasy sports product allows users to compete peer-to-peer rather than against the house using “more or less” markets for individual player statistics. As of today, Pick6 users can make picks on NBA and NFL games.

“For the past decade, DraftKings has defined innovation in fantasy sports. Pick6 is the next great example of that innovation — this is a homegrown, peer-to-peer product that taps into our customers’ desire for fun, simple-to-play experiences tied to their favorite athletes.”

Innovated offerings

Pick6, which allows users to create lineups using two to six players, allows its users to compete against one another for guaranteed prizes using two or more teams. The product builds on a previously announced new offering from DraftKings — “Progressive Parlays.”

The new feature allows users on the DraftKings Sportsbook app to create parlays that offer potential returns even if one or more legs lose. The offering, which will launch next week, gives users the ability to create a parlay up to 12 legs based on the “Over/Under” of betting markets.

The winnings of Progressive Parlays are based on the number of legs, which also dictates how many ways there are to win.

Business is booming

DraftKings will continue to innovate with promising revenue growth in the second half of the fiscal year. In Q3 2023, the Boston-based company generated $790 million in revenue — a 57% increase year-over-year.

DraftKings expects full-year revenue to reach at least $3.67 billion in FY2023 — up from a previous projection of at least $3.46 billion.
