DraftKings Sportsbook is introducing a new tool for bettors to help get an edge on their bets — while simultaneously promoting responsible gaming practices.

The gaming provider unveiled its brand new My Stat Sheet tool on Thursday, which promises to provide users with access to personal betting stats and “intuitive charts and information” pertaining to their play. The tool is expected to help bettors make better data-driven decisions on their plays while also encouraging and promoting responsible gaming practices on the whole.

“As sports betting technology continues to evolve, DraftKings remains committed to continuously enhancing our robust responsible gaming program,” said Jennifer Aguiar, DraftKings Chief Compliance Officer, via a press release. “The My Stat Sheet tool will help customers evaluate their play and make informed choices.”

Among the information being made available via the tool, users can expect to access data including their time spent on the platform, monetary information including deposits and withdrawals, as well as net total winnings across various time frames such as yearly and lifetime.

“Responsible gaming has always been a core priority at DraftKings,” added DraftKings president of global product and technology Paul Liberman. “We are constantly innovating to find new ways to apply technology that enhances our responsible gaming initiatives, and My Stat Sheet is an important milestone for us as an industry leader.”

Changes come as regulations tighten

The introduction of the tool comes during a period of continued disruption and regulation across the sports betting landscape across Canada and the United States.

In Ontario, recent regulations have made the use of celebrity figures in advertising more prohibitive, while the United States continues to see changing regulations across the board — most recently in states such as North Carolina, which recently legalized sports betting with a bevy of restrictions and regulations and is currently scrutinizing the place of fantasy sports in the betting landscape.

Additionally, the introduction of these tightening rules and regulations, as well as the subsequent efforts from sports betting companies to beef up their responsible gaming tools, notably arrive in time for March’s Problem Gambling Awareness Month across parts of the U.S. and Canada.

As for DraftKings’ individual efforts, the initiative represents a renewed effort to strengthen and expand upon its preexisting platform of responsible gaming practices and tools. The sportsbook already offers various limits via their app including deposit and wager limits, in addition to providing various resources for those dealing with problem gambling and in need of assistance.
