Michigan customers are now eligible to download the Fanatics Sportsbook app, built natively on IOS and Android. They will also enjoy Fanatics exclusive FanCash, where customers earn up to 5% of their wagers back to spend on bonus bets or at Fanatics.com.

As part of its Wolverine State launch in Michigan sports betting, Fanatics is also offering its new online casino, embedded in the Fanatics Sportsbook app. Fanatics has partnered with several popular game providers, including IGT PlayDigital, Evolution, Light & Wonder, as well as exclusive content from the Fanatics Game Studios.

Michigan is an important sports betting and casino market. In January, Michigan posted its second consecutive sports betting handle over $600 million. Meanwhile, iGaming grossed $181.9 million in revenue for the month.

Existing Michigan PointsBet customers will discover a smooth transition, as their username, password, account balance, rewards points and responsible gaming setting will automatically migrate to the Fanatics Sportsbook.

Other Fanatics Headlines

Fanatics Sportsbook is a relative newcomer to the market. The sports and memorabilia company launched an online and retail sports betting division in 2021 and bought PointsBet’s U.S. holdings in 2023.

Fanatics hasn’t wasted any time in 2024, continuing to rebrand and extend its US reach. On January 11, Fanatics went live in Vermont. A couple of weeks later, Fanatics debuted its sportsbook and iGaming in Pennsylvania. On February 6, Fanatics launched its mobile app in Iowa.

Legal troubles?

Meanwhile, Fanatics is making headlines with non-launch related news. Rival DraftKings filed a lawsuit alleging that a former employee, Michael Hermalyn, took confidential information with him when he left to join Fanatics.

So far, there have been some temporary rulings in the case. Hermalyn has been barred from contacting DraftKings’ customers or clients. He is also barred from sharing any confidential information. Hermalyn, however, will be allowed to work for Fanatics for the foreseeable future. Another hearing in the case is scheduled for April 2.
