Hawk Tuah’s winless Thursday Night Football lineup has inspired a new Betr refund promotion.

Earlier this month, Betr signed internet sensation Haliey “Hawk Tuah” Welch to do a weekly podcast called “Tuah Talk.” And while early reviews have been mixed, she is featuring some solid guests in upcoming weeks, including Oregon State Head Football Coach Trent Bray and Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward.

This week, however, Welch made headlines for her flawless losing record.

In a promotion to demonstrate that a $1 bet could win $1,000, Welch published her eight picks for TNF. Not only did she not win $1,000, but she lost every single pick in the lineup.

Picking losers just might be another one of Welch’s superpowers. Make no mistake, it’s not easy to do. In fact, Betr is literally betting on the difficulty of going 0-for-8 in a new promotion inspired by Welch's debut performance. Between now and Sunday, Betr will refund anyone in Betr Bucks who goes 0-for-8 on any cash lineup.

Patriots return to mediocrity, Welch excels in blanks

In week one of the NFL, the New England Patriots singlehandedly decimated the Circa Survivor
Pool
, upsetting the Cincinnati Bengals. In week two, the Patriots returned to comfortable
mediocrity, losing 24-3 to the NY Jets.

While the Patriots were able to put a few points on the board, the same was not true for
Welch, although Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein certainly didn’t help her cause. In his NFL career,
Zuerlein was 49-for-86 in field goals over 50 yards. On Thursday night, he shanked a 45-yarder
before finally kicking a 28-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, Patriots’ running back Rhamondre Stevenson wished he had done more to help
Welch. Stevenson fumbled for the third time this season, rushing for only 23 yards.

In a post-game interview, Stevenson said, “I gotta hold the ball.” That clearly would have helped.

Welch's TNF Picks Actual
Player O/U Line
J. Brissett Over 0.5 Interceptions 0
R. Stevenson Over 89.5 Rushing yds 23 yds
A. Gibson Under 32.5 Rushing/Rec. yds 37 yds
A. Rodgers Under 215.5 Passing yds 281 yds
B. Hall Over 4.5 Reception 4
B. Allen Over 0.5 Rushing/Rec. TDs 0
G. Wilson Over 7.5 Receptions 5
G. Zuerlein Over 52.5 yd Field Goal 0
