The International Betting Integrity Association is teaming up with a security and data company to protect the integrity and social responsibility of legal sports betting clients in the U.S.
IBIA announced a partnership Monday with IXUP to explore products and services to support online betting sites, regulators, and professional leagues.
IXUP’s PlayPause® encryption matching network can be integrated into IBIA to provide an “athlete identification and involuntary exclusion program.”
“This partnership allows each party to potentially incorporate the other’s relationships, technology, and best practices, be it across the identification of suspicious betting activity, or the encrypted matching and identification of excluded individuals betting in breach of sporting rules,” IBIA CEO Khalid Ali said. “Both IXUP and IBIA recognize the critical importance behind maintaining integrity within U.S. sports betting and we will continue to investigate new collaborative technologies and solutions to support operators in achieving this.”
The collaboration will also allow the companies to offer clients enhanced solutions and monitoring of wager integrity.
No pointing fingers
IBIA is a licensed provider of monitoring and integrity services to U.S. sportsbooks that make up 70% of the U.S. handle. The company is partnered with online sports betting operators like DraftKings, bet365, 888 Sport, William Hill, and Fanatics, among others.
Australia-based IXUP is a pioneering technology company with a world-class suite of software products that facilitate the secure sharing and analysis of sensitive information using advanced security technology.
“We are not here to point fingers or smear your names across the press,” PlayPause®’s Kevin Vonasek said recently at an IBIA gathering in New York City. “We don’t want to know your data, nor should we ever see your data. We are simply a B2B encrypted fuzzy matching service helping operators, regulators, and leagues better detect, investigate, and ultimately prevent wagering activity that is in direct conflict with our industry’s rules and codes of conduct.”
Another joint venture
This is not the first partnership of its kind. Sports betting monitoring company U.S. Integrity, which also works with state regulators, sportsbooks, and sports governing bodies, recently merged with online sports betting consultancy firm Odds on Compliance.
The merger followed a partnership and established the two parties as a global compliance and integrity solution company.
