Nevada bettors will experience either elation or dismay, depending on how they view the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce frenzy sweeping the NFL and entertainment.

Sportsbooks in the Silver State are not expected to offer props involving the mega-star singer and performer leading up to Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.

“While I love Taylor Swift as much as the next person, please don’t ask us about any Tay Swift props because they aren’t happening unless Gaming becomes big Swifties in the next week,” Jeffery Benson, the director of operations at Circa Sports in Las Vegas, wrote in a post on X. “You’ll need to see your local or offshore for these novelty props.”

There will be plenty of betting options on Swift’s boyfriend and star tight end for the Chiefs, so why not his better half?

“We can try to get creative in the naming of it but we can’t specifically use ‘How many times are they showing her?’” SuperBook vice president of risk Jeff Sherman told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Because it’s not in the box score. There’s no concrete statistic you can look up on that.”

Outside wagering

Swift has certainly brought in a new fan base to the NFL, which has greatly capitalized on and enjoyed the uptick in ratings and social media hits because of her love for the Chiefs (and Kelce).

While the famed musician has been visually present on the broadcast of Kansas City games, especially in the NFL playoffs, “Swifties” are going to have to look elsewhere if they want to mix the Super Bowl with the famed musician.

And there is a market for that outside of Nevada.

FanDuel Sportsbook’s U.S. site currently isn’t offering any Swift prop bets, but FanDuel Ontario has a prop for “Will Travis Kelce propose to Taylor Swift” at the Super Bowl? “Yes” is +1260 while “No” is getting -5000 odds.

The online operator is also accepting wagers in Canada on whether or not Kelce will mention Swift in a speech with odds of +280 for “Yes” and -390 for “No.”

Next best thing

If sportsbooks won’t offer Swift-involved props, fans of the couple’s fondness for each other will have to settle for wagering on Kelce.

Anytime touchdowns, receiving yards, receptions, and a plethora of other popular options will be available by Feb. 11 at sportsbooks across the U.S.

The Chiefs tight end was 80-to-1 to win Super Bowl MVP at the SuperBook in Las Vegas before Kansas City’s win at Baltimore in AFC Championship Game, Sherman said. Kelce is now 12-to-1 and has the fourth-highest odds of receiving the postgame honor.

“We expect him to be popular with how much he means to that offense and the casual fan might have interest in that,” Sherman said to the Review-Journal. “Whether you watch football or not, people have seen Travis Kelce’s name in the spotlight.”
