The William Hill Sportsbook at Harrah's Philadelphia (formerly The Book at Harrah's) is yet another quality sportsbook from Caesars. Launched in January 2019, Harrah's Philadelphia was the first casino south of the city to accept sports wagers. The casino is roughly a 20-minute drive from the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, where the city's professional teams all play.
When entering the casino, make your way to the third floor and then walk through the gaming area towards the back to find the sportsbook. As you approach, you'll notice the large video wall, with the bar below it and the seating area in front of it.
There are about 50 high-definition screens in the sportsbook, most of which comprise the main video wall. TVs are also located at the betting counter and at the gaming pit located directly behind the sportsbook.
One of the best features of the sportsbook is the seating area. The lounge area is full of incredibly comfortable leather chairs with double armrests and cupholders. They are dubbed "better-than-stadium" lounge seats but that description doesn't do them justice. They are better than the seating at most movie theaters.
Other seating options include high-top tables located behind the lounge chair area and about a dozen seats at the bar.
The betting window is located just behind the sportsbook seating area and has six betting windows. As is the case in all sportsbooks, be sure to have the rotation number of the game you want to bet on ready when you approach the window.
Another thing we love about this sportsbook is the food selection. At Harrah's Philly, bettors are able to order from any restaurant in the casino and have the food delivered to the sportsbook. This means bettors have access to Cove Steakhouse & Raw Bar, Guy Fieri's Philly Kitchen + Bar, Philly Steak Shack, and more. We also appreciate the in-book bar as it makes getting a drink that much easier. The promotions are solid, too. When we visited, they were offering $1 well drinks, $2 draft beer specials, and $4 Philly specials (Miller Lite or Coors Light and a shot of Jim Beam) on college football Saturdays.
There are two other features that make the William Hill Sportsbook at Harrah's Philly unique: a gaming pit basically within the sportsbook and the Topgolf Swing Suite.
At most sportsbooks, you need to walk a fair distance to play some blackjack or roulette. Not here, as they smartly added table games right next to the sportsbook so that you can play your favorite table game while still watching sports on the video wall. I found myself drifting over to the roulette table during commercial breaks to put a few chips on red.
Next to the sportsbook is the Topgolf Swing Suite — the only one located in the area. This is a new interactive sports and gaming lounge where friends can challenge each other to the Topgolf target game, Baseball Pitching, Quarterback Challenge, and much more.
Overall, the William Hill Sportsbook at Harrah's Philadelphia is a very solid sportsbook that offers sports bettors everything they need and more. It's definitely one of the top sportsbooks in the Philadelphia area.

How to get free drinks at the sportsbook?
Harrah's is a Caesars property and in Pennsylvania, Caesars gives out a free drink ticket for a $50 bet. There is a maximum of two free drink tickets per day per bettor. As always, tipping your ticket writer might increase your chances of getting a drink ticket.
There are also free drinks available on the casino floor, so someone in search of a free drink could go put a few dollars into a slot machine, order a drink, and then bring it into the sportsbook.
How old do you need to be to enter the sportsbook?
As with all sportsbooks in Pennsylvania, bettors must be 21 years of age or older.
How do you make a bet at the sportsbook?
Currently, the only way to place a bet is at the betting window in the sportsbook. A mobile app and betting kiosks could be available in the near future, however.
