Tyler O’Neill continued his historic MLB Opening Day home run streak and cashed a lot of prop-bet tickets on Thursday.
The Baltimore Orioles right fielder went yard in the first game of the season for the sixth consecutive year, extending his MLB record with the bomb in Toronto. With MLB home run prop odds of +400 at BetMGM to have at least one homer, O’Neill had the most-bet prop in the market.

His homer prop saw more action than such stars as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+500), Shohei Ohtani (+450), Juan Soto (+550), and Cody Bellinger (+725).
O’Neil (+370) was second in bets behind Guerrero Jr. in the home run prop at DraftKings.
Going deep again
The streak that began when O’Neill took Pittsburgh's Joe Musgrove deep in 2020 as a St. Louis Cardinal stayed alive on Thursday when he crushed a 2-1 pitch from Toronto’s Jose Berrios to right field for a three-run shot.
It was the first homer off Berrios in O’Neill’s career. During his previous five-year stretch with an Opening Day bomb, O’Neill has only reached double digits for the season three times, including hitting 34 home runs in 2024.
Some other popular player prop bets at BetMGM included Paul Skenes over 6.5 strikeouts (-175), Luis Severino under 5.5 strikeouts (-150), and Yusei Kikuchi under 6.5 strikeouts (-140).
