Scientific Games announced it will renew its SLINGO license with Gaming Realms for five more years. In a press release, the company stated it intends to expand its gaming portfolio of SLINGO-branded scratch games to include terminal-generated instant win games such as Fast Play, monitor games like KENO, iLottery, and second-chance promotional games.

Tina Hoover, VP of Licensing for Scientific Games, said:

“We are thrilled to extend our successful collaboration with Gaming Realms, allowing us to continue delivering engaging SLINGO lottery experiences. The SLINGO brand is beloved by players and consistently performs as a top-tier lottery game, providing lotteries with a versatile platform that appeals across retail and digital formats. While SLINGO is consistently a top five brand in lottery instant scratch products, the brand’s potential in the eInstant products space is unlimited.”

Mark Segal, CEO of Gaming Realms, said, “We're excited to renew our collaboration with Scientific Games, further extending the reach of the SLINGO franchise in the lottery market. The renewal illustrates the brand equity SLINGO commands across multiple verticals in the gaming and lottery space. We're very proud of the licensing partnership with Scientific Games, which, with this extension, will take our partnership beyond 25 years of working together."

SLINGO began on the AOL Games platform in 1996, quickly becoming a favorite among players for its innovative combination of slots and bingo. SLINGO saw remarkable growth in leading North American markets, generating more than $1.9 billion in retail sales.

Scientific Games Personnel Shuffle

Scientific Games announced in October that it hired former Samsung and Amazon executive Matt Lynch, describing him as an e-commerce expert who can create incremental revenue growth.

“Matt has an impressive track record in scaling digital businesses. In addition to his strong product orientation, he has broad business acumen and a reputation for being a strategic, quant-based big thinker,” said Scientific Games CEO Pat McHugh. “He brings a vision to his work and creates strong organizational cultures. We look forward to the many talents Matt will add to our highly experienced global Digital teams.”

Lynch replaces Steve Beason, the former president of digital and sports betting, who was appointed chief innovation officer after working for the group for four years.

The personnel shuffle marks the company's aim to accelerate in iGaming markets. Shortly after, Scientific Games publicized the introduction of NBA-licensed scratch games across the US in a new multi-year deal.

Gaming Realms Highlights Revenue Growth

After Gaming Realms expanded into US markets through a new partnership with S Gaming Ltd in October, this capped off a successful week for the group. It also partnered with Caesars Entertainment to launch exclusive new titles on both Caesars Palace Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook and Casino.

The SLINGO specialist also reported a Q1 revenue increase, rising by 18.3% compared to forecasted preliminary results. During Q1, the group went live with 22 new partners in existing markets in Europe and North America.

“Our focus on expanding our content licensing business has led to a 28% revenue growth and the successful launch of seven new games,” Segal said. “These results reflect our commitment to innovation and solidify our position in the gaming industry.”
