An opening ceremony will be held on February 6 to celebrate the opening of Seminole Brighton Bay & Casino.

The casino, which is one of six that are owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, is replacing the existing Seminole Casino Brighton, which first opened its doors to players in 1980.

Marty Johns, General Manager of Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino, said, "We are all eagerly awaiting our official opening on February 6. It will be such a special moment for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Brighton Seminole Reservation, and the entire region. This new resort is expected to increase the number of tourists to the area, which is especially important. We are excited to offer a new level of gaming, dining and entertainment."

The ceremony will include a performance by the famous rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, which guests will be able to enjoy. Tickets for the concert go on sale on January 17 via Ticketmaster.

The new property is set to feature a smoke-free gaming space that will be home to 104 different slot machines and a high-limit gaming area with 42 slot machines and four table games. The resort will also cover 38,000 square feet, with players having access to a total of 640 slot machines and 18 tables for blackjack, craps, roulette, and various other house-banked card games.

Seminole Tribe and Hard Rock Donate $1 Million for Hurricane Aid

Opening new casinos is not the only way the Seminole Tribe has been changing communities in Florida.

Hard Rock, the gaming company owned by the Seminole Tribe, partnered with Duffy’s Sports Grill in November. In October, the Seminole Tribe of Florida announced that it had donated $1 million in relief aid with Hard Rock International to those impacted by the Helene and Milton hurricanes.

The funds directly support World Central Kitchen and the American Red Cross to aid the long-term rebuilding of impacted communities in Florida, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee.

In addition, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa converted its Event Center into a shelter, providing refuge and safety for individuals affected by the storms. Likewise, the casino delivered more than 1,000 meals to shelters throughout Tampa.

Marcellus Osceola Jr., Chairman of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, commented, "The Seminole Tribe of Florida has always been committed to helping our neighbors in times of crisis. We'd like to thank Governor Ron DeSantis for his partnership in uplifting our communities at this critical time. With the help of our dedicated teams across Florida, we are able to make a meaningful impact for those in need after Hurricanes Helene and Milton."

Seminole Hard Rock Donates $100,000 Towards Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation

That is not the only donation the Seminole made in 2024. On December 20, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood contributed $100,000 to the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation during a concert by Carlos Vives at a Hard Rock Live event.

The donation aims to support educational programs, scholarships, and grants for preserving Latin music and cultural heritage.

Estefania Diaz-Balart, Vice President of Latin Business Development for Seminole Hard Rock, said, “We are thrilled to support the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation and its incredible work in empowering young Latin music creators.”
