A legal sports betting software supplier is entering the growing market of micro-betting.
Amelco, which provides trading solutions for online sports betting sites, has secured a partnership with B2B product development and micro-betting company Simplebet. The two companies began working together during the annual March Madness basketball tournament.
“It's become clear that operators have a growing need to fill the demands of their customers in regard to the micro-betting category,” said Simplebet CEO Chris Bevilacqua. “Us partnering with Amelco will only further our reach.”
What is Simplebet?
Simplebet provides gambling operators with micro-betting capabilities using machine learning-powered technology. The company’s services allow sportsbooks to increase the amount of in-play and parlay wagering by their customers. DraftKings became the first sportsbook in America to use Simplebet’s markets in 2021. Simplebet has also inked deals with bet365 and Caesars Sportsbook.
Simplebet’s partnerships with Caesars and bet365 provide micro-betting for some of the most popular markets in the U.S., including the NFL, NBA, college football, basketball, and MLB.
“Micro-betting has transformed the way fans, operators, and media companies view live sporting events and we’re thrilled to work with such a dynamic partner to accelerate its widespread adoption,” said Bevilacqua on his company’s deal with Caesars.
Simplebet reported an 84% increase in micro-betting handle during Super Bowl LVII in February and saw 3.7 million bets processed during the NFL postseason — up 150% year-over-year.
Enter Amelco
Launched in 2006, Amelco works with operators to deliver automated, algorithmic betting trading solutions, making its deal with Simplebet an easy decision as micro-betting grows.
“Micro betting will see huge growth in the U.S. and by 2024 will account for over 50% of all bets placed,” Oddsium CEO Todd Kobrin told TheStreet last year. Amelco’s partnership with Simplebet adds to the company’s growing portfolio of brands, which include Hard Rock Digital, Entain, Sportradar, and Flutter Entertainment — the owner of FanDuel. Amelco aims to expand as the sports betting market in the U.S. grows and matures.
