Fanatics Sportsbook reported the most-bet plays for each sport: Yankees moneyline, Steelers -6, Ja Morant over 20.5 points against the Chicago Bulls, and Winnipeg -1.5 on the puck line vs. Toronto in the NHL.
“Compared to Jets puck line, Yankees moneyline has attracted over 13 times more handle,” a Fanatics spokesperson said. “Steelers spread has collected over 12 times more handle and Morant over points has snagged over four times more handle.”
On the diamond
The Yankees are looking for their first win in the World Series in 15 years after the Dodgers swept two games in L.A. New York returns home as a -155 favorite and is getting 75% of the handle and 65% of the bets, according to figures provided by DraftKings.
Fanatics Sportsbook reported 60% of the action and 81% of the handle is on the Yankees, who have received nearly 5.5 times more money than the Dodgers to win the game. Juan Soto over 0.5 home runs at +425 is the most popular player prop as the Yankee left-handed hitter returns home to enjoy the short right-field porch. Ohtani over 0.5 homers (+350) is the third-most bet player prop behind Aaron Judge (+240) and ahead of Giancarlo Stanton (+280).
Game 1 hero Freddie Freeman to hit a home run has taken the most money.
On the gridiron
The Steelers enter MNF fresh off an impressive win over the New York Jets last week and getting 87.4% of the bets and 83.7% of the handle at ESPN BET on Monday.
The underdog Giants have lost two of their last three games, but both of their straight-up wins have come on the road. New York is getting just 10% of the moneyline handle and 7% of the bets at DraftKings.
BetMGM also reported that 71% of the money is on the home team while 70% of the handle is on over 36.5.
Fanatics senior editor Max Meyer said the most lopsided action on the Steelers came when the line was 5.5.
“At 6, it’s been strong two-way action despite the Steelers dominating the ticket count,” Meyer said. “The Giants have scored a total of 10 points in their past two games, so there isn’t much public appetite to back them here against one of the NFL’s best defenses.”
Meanwhile, George Pickens is seeing a lot of action. The Steelers receiver is getting the most bets for anytime TD (+200) and has the most-wagered player prop at BetMGM with over 24.5 receiving yards.
On the hardwood
The NBA’s slate is highlighted by the Milwaukee Bucks playing at the defending champion Boston Celtics, who are getting 70% of the handle as a 9.5-point favorite.
The NBA’s largest spread split at DraftKings is between the Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors as the visiting Western Conference team has seen 96% of the handle as a 9-point favotire. Also, the New York Knicks are getting 89% of the handle as a 2.5-point favorite at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Also, the Houston Rockets are catching 81% of the handle against the 2.5-point underdog San Antonio Spurs.
