Winners of six of their last seven, the New York Yankees look for a third straight series win as they wrap up their 3-game set with the Toronto Blue Jays.

New York is a healthy -233 favorite in the moneyline odds, with reigning AL Cy Young winner Gerrit Cole on the bump at home.

My Blue Jays vs. Yankees prediction and MLB picks are calling for more offense in the Bronx.

Blue Jays vs Yankees prediction

My best bet
Over 9.5 runs (-102 at PROLINE+)

My analysis
After dropping the series opener 8-5 to snap a 5-game win streak, the New York Yankees got back in the win column Saturday with an 8-3 win.

The Yankees’ offense continues to churn: the current major league leader in runs scored, they have tallied six or more runs in each of their last six wins.

New York might need to keep piling on the runs, as Gerrit Cole tries to rebound from a thrashing in his last start.

In just his seventh start of the year — he was dealing with an elbow injury that kept him out of the lineup until June 19 — Cole went 5 2/3 innings, giving up eight hits, including three home runs, part of six earned runs allowed in a 12-3 loss to the Mets.

Perhaps the Toronto Blue Jays can provide a remedy. Cole had one of his best starts of the year in Toronto, throwing five innings of three-hit ball, with just one earned run allowed while striking out six.

Toronto has been all over the map in the second half — about as much as you could expect from a team relegated to spoiler.

Since the all-star break, they’ve won seven games and averaged 6.71 runs per game — far better than their Bottom-6 run-scoring rank this season.

However, they’re getting just as much as they’ve given, with Toronto allowing eight runs per contest across eight losses, with a bloated 6.05 ERA, the fourth-worst mark in baseball over the last 15 days.

They hand the ball to Yariel Rodriguez, who could only muster two outs before getting the first-inning hook against the Orioles in his last start.

Rodriguez was tagged for three earned runs, as he walked four batters while allowing a single hit in an 11-5 thumping.

While the teams have alternated wins and losses in eight straight head-to-heads, offense remains the connective link, as Toronto and New York have cashed the Over in eight straight games, and nine of the last 10.

The Jays and Yankees have combined to score 10 or more runs in six of the last seven, and that’s what they’ll need to hit the Over for a ninth straight.

My best bet
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 hits (+190 at PROLINE+)

My analysis
Toronto fans would have loved to see Vladimir Guerrero Jr. play at this level when the team was still in some form of playoff contention.

Now, they’re left cheering for Vladdy to punch a winning ticket for them.

Guerrero has been feasting on Yankee pitching this series, going 3-for-4 Saturday with his team-leading 21st long ball and 71st RBI, while also scoring a couple of runs.

He opened this set with a 2-for-3 night with a run and an RBI.

Guerrero now gets to close out the series against Cole, a guy he’s fared just fine against in his career. In 32 at-bats (the most of any Jay), he’s hitting .344 with three doubles, two home runs, and five RBI.

With Cole still trying to regain that Cy Young form, Guerrero should be able to take advantage and grab at least a couple of hits on Sunday.
