The Atlanta Braves lineup has a solid track record against San Francisco Giants ace Logan Webb. My Braves vs Giants predictions explain why I’m eyeing them to continue that trend versus the right-hander.
I break the matchup down further with my MLB picks for Saturday, June 7.
Braves vs Giants prediction
My Braves vs Giants best bet: Logan Webb Over 5.5 hits allowed (-140 at Caesars)
Logan Webb is having a very impressive campaign for the San Francisco Giants. He’s been their co-ace alongside left-hander Robbie Ray, going 5-5 with a 2.55 ERA in 13 starts while striking out 91 and walking only 17 in 81 1/3 innings.
However, he has allowed his fair share of hits, giving up 78.
The pitch-to-contact righty has cashed the Over in hits surrendered in three consecutive outings, respectively allowing six, seven, and 10 during that span. While Webb does a nice job of typically pitching out of trouble, opponents are consistently finding green space. It just doesn’t always translate to runs.
It’s no secret the Atlanta Braves are struggling, but they are looking forward to this matchup. Atlanta’s lineup is hitting .290 against Webb in 107 at-bats, with Ozzie Albies, Alex Verdugo, and Michael Harris II all batting over .300 versus the 28-year-old starter.
Braves vs Giants same-game parlay (SGP)
Harris is 6-for-11 vs. Webb with a home run. While Harris is hitting .236 on the season, he’s collected 2+ hits in back-to-back games.
The 24-year-old is batting .249 against right-handers compared to .202 against lefties. Harris has confidence at the moment, and this matchup will certainly have him feeling the same way today.
Willy Adames is 3-for-10 with a pair of home runs vs. Braves SP Bryce Elder. Adames will keep that success going and, in the process, finally end his difficult cold streak.
