Since returning from the IL, Mad Muncy has made Los Angeles' offense even more dangerous, and we expect the star third baseman to thrive against Taj Bradley on Saturday.

Clayton Kershaw gets the call for the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight as the hosts welcome the Tampa Bay Rays to Dodger Stadium in search of their sixth straight win.

Kershaw has settled in nicely after only making his season debut in late July, but the 36-year-old should also get plenty of support from a stacked Dodgers offense led by a streaking Max Muncy.

Keep reading to find out why the hosts will extend their win streak in my Rays vs. Dodgers predictions and MLB picks for Saturday, August 24.

My analysis
While Clayton Kershaw is set to take the mound for just the sixth time this season after coming back from shoulder surgery, the Los Angeles Dodgers have also benefited from the recent return of Max Muncy.

The third baseman suffered an oblique strain in May and sat out for more than three months before finally returning this past Monday. Muncy made an immediate impact with a two-run homer against the Mariners in his first game back and has kept the roll going with four hits, two homers, and six RBI in his last four contests.

Batting .400 in his last four outings, Muncy co-leads the Dodgers with six RBI since his return, tied with none other than Shohei Ohtani, but has done so in two fewer games than the two-time AL MVP.

Muncy should have a good shot at picking up another RBI tonight as Taj Bradley gets the start for the Tampa Bay Rays. The 23-year-old was putting together a great season up until late July, but he’s since hit a rough patch, allowing at least three earned runs in four straight outings while owning a lofty 8.10 ERA over that span.

Rays vs Dodgers same-game parlay (SGP)

Max Muncy 1+ RBI

Shohei Ohtani Over 1.5 total bases

Dodgers -1.5

It’s also been a good week for Ohtani, who exploded for four RBI in Thursday’s series opener. The designated hitter has notched 4+ total bases in four of his last six games and leads the Dodgers with 19 bases over the past week.

I’ll round out my same-game parlay by taking the Dodgers to cover the run line. Los Angeles has won by at least three runs in four straight contests while covering the run line in 13 of its last 20 home games.
