Domingo German has been stellar for the Yankees since returning from their alternate training site, posting a 1.04 WHIP and holding opponents to a .224 average in his last 10 starts.

The late game on the MLB betting board this Sunday is an AL East showdown between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.

The BoSox have snapped their losing streak at Yankee Stadium, winning the previous two contests in this three-game set, including a 7-3 victory last night.

Nonetheless, they are +130 road underdogs for tonight's battle against their division rivals. Here are our best free Red Sox vs. Yankees picks and predictions for Sunday, June 6, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:08 p.m. ET.

MLB Sharp Money and Line Movement Report

By Patrick Everson

As of 4 p.m. ET, New York is out to a -165 favorite at PointsBet USA, where the Pinstripes opened -145 Saturday night. But this moneyline is seeing two-way play, for certain. "Fifty-three percent of bets and 57 percent of handle on the Yanks," PointsBet's Wyatt Yearout said. The total moved from 9 (Over -120) to 9.5 (Under -115), although the Under is attracting 70 percent of bets/78 percent of money.

Starting pitchers

Garrett Richards (4-4, 3.75 ERA): The veteran right-hander has been solid for the BoSox this season and is 4-2 with a 2.70 ERA in his last seven starts. Richards is coming off a strong start against the Astros, holding Houston to four hits and two runs through six innings.

Domingo German (4-3, 3.27 ERA): German missed the 2020 season due to a suspension for domestic violence but has regained his spot in the Yankees rotation, pitching to a 1.04 WHIP and an opponent batting average of .224 in 10 starts. In his previous outing, the 28-year-old allowed just three hits and didn't walk a single batter in five innings against the Rays, although all three of those baserunners ended up scoring.

Betting trend to know

The Under is 19-7-1 in the Yankees last 27 games with the total set between 9.0 and 10.5. Find more MLB betting trends for Red Sox vs. Yankees.

Moneyline pick

The Yankees should have one of the best hitting lineups in the majors, just as they have for the last several years. Instead, they've been absolutely dreadful at the plate, ranking 22nd in the majors with an OPS of .686. That said, this could be exactly the matchup they need to put together a strong offensive performance.

Red Sox starter Garrett Richards has a solid ERA of 3.75 this season but his 15 walks in his last 21 1-3 innings pitched and opponent batting average of .263 on the year are major causes for concern. And in five career starts at Yankee Stadium, he has gone just 0-4 with a 7.43 ERA and a WHIP of 1.57.

The Yankees will send Domingo German to the mound and the right-hander is starting to recapture his 2019 form.

German began the season with a rough start against the Jays. However, after being optioned to the alternate training site and returning to the rotation he has been sharp, pitching to a 2.94 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP in his last eight starts. More importantly for New York bettors, the Yankees won seven of those games.

The Yankees also have a terrific bullpen behind German, with their relievers collectively pitching to a 2.93 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and .198 OBA.

As impressive as the Red Sox have been at the dish they have an OPS of just .664 over the last 15 days, good for 22nd in the majors and only marginally better than the Yankees. Look for the Yankees to pull off the win on Sunday Night Baseball.

PREDICTION: Yankees (-155)

Over/Under pick

Although we think the Yankees will have some success against Richards tonight, this is still a lineup that has been pathetic. New York is plating just 2.76 runs per game over its last 17 games and has been held to two or fewer runs in 11 of those contests.

That said, the BoSox haven't been much better lately, generating just 3.73 runs per game over their previous 11 contests.

With the Yankees offensive struggles and their strong pitching, they've been an Under bettors' dream, going below the total in 13 of their last 17 games.

Meanwhile, Boston is 13-5 to the Under in its last 18 games versus a right-handed starter. Back the Under again tonight.

PREDICTION: Under 9.5 (-120)
