The Chicago Bulls have won and covered in three of their last four games and they now host a Philadelphia 76ers team that is coming off a brutal collapse against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.
Joel Embiid’s team led by as many as 16 in the first half, but they got flustered against Dallas’ zone and ended up crumbling.

76ers vs Bulls picks and predictions
Our predictions are compiled from the analysis of the spread and total and are indications of where we are leaning for this game.
Our best bet is the play that we like the most for this game, which we would actually put some of our bankroll behind.
Spread analysis
The Sixers will be beating themselves up after really letting their last game slip away. Philadelphia built up a big lead in the first half but then was completely stifled by Dallas' zone defense.
Philly never quite adjusted, and on top of that, struggled to contain Luka Doncic, as most teams do. Fortunately for Philly, they won't have to deal with Luka tonight.
Look for the Sixers to bounce back defensively in this game, as they’re 11th in the league in defensive rating this season. Even if LaVine and White end up suiting up tonight, the Bulls are also going to be without some important pieces on offense.
It’s not easy to replace a high-volume shooter from behind the three-point line, like Ball. And Caruso is good at putting pressure on the rim and getting out in transition, which is another area where Ball is effective. Against a high-quality team like Philadelphia, it’s just not fair to ask Chicago to go out and turn in an efficient performance without those guys. Also, Matisse Thybulle is capable of disrupting DeRozan or LaVine, as he’s one of the best defenders in basketball. He’s listed as questionable in this one, but he is expected to play.
Offensively, Embiid should really be able to do a number on Nikola Vucevic. The MVP candidate had 30 points, 16 rebounds and three assists in a 114-105 win over the Bulls back on November 6. Vucevic just doesn’t have the quickness to stay with Embiid, who should also force the Chicago big man into a rough night on the other end of the floor. Vucevic had just 11 points on 5-of-16 shooting from the field when these teams last met.
Tyrese Maxey and Seth Curry are both capable of going off on offense in this game, too. Ball and Caruso are the two best perimeter defenders on Chicago, and the Bulls will miss the pressure those two would have been able to put on Philadelphia’s lethal backcourt.
Prediction: 76ers -1 (-110)
Over/Under analysis
The Bulls have been struggling on the defensive end coming into this one, which isn’t surprising with Caruso, Ball, and Williams all out. Chicago has the third-worst defensive rating in the league over the last five games, and the team allowed 115 or more in each of those five contests. Philadelphia doesn’t play with a whole lot of pace or anything, but the team is talented enough on the offensive end to take advantage of that porous defense. The Sixers should do enough on their own to help Over bettors cash here, but the Bulls will also do their part.
The Over is actually 8-2 in the last 10 games that Philadelphia has played against teams with winning records, and it’s also 4-1 in the team’s last five games following a straight-up loss. The Over is also 12-3-2 when the Bulls are playing their third game in four days, which means their tired legs could lead to more buckets.
Prediction: Over 217.5 (-110)
Best bet
The Sixers have dominated this head-to-head series in recent years, as they’ve won nine games in a row against the Bulls and are 8-1 ATS in those contests. The Sixers are also 12-1 SU and 10-3 ATS against this Bulls team dating back to the start of 2018, and there’s no denying how big of an impact Embiid has had in this matchup. He should have his fingerprints all over a Philadelphia win in this spot.
The Bulls have been excellent all year and are a legitimate threat in the Eastern Conference, but they’ve been a bit disappointing in home games against elite competition. That’s not likely to change with some of the team’s best players missing.
