The Cleveland Cavaliers ride an NBA-high 10-game win streak into United Center to face a Chicago Bulls team that has won two of its last three. Chicago will be shorthanded once again, and Cleveland will be without big man Evan Mobley.
My Cavaliers vs Bulls predictions expect Jarrett Allen to handle increased responsibility on offense with Mobley sidelined. Read my NBA picks to see why you should target the Over on his scoring prop.
Cavaliers vs Bulls prediction
My best bet
Jarrett Allen Over 12.5 points (-165 at bet365)
My analysis
The odds on this one are a bit shorter than the ones I’m used to taking, but this line is too good to pass up. Jarrett Allen is averaging 13.4 points per game this season, but he’s excelled with Evan Mobley out of action. We’ll only need an average scoring night from Allen, and I expect he'll easily clear this number.
He’s only done so in two of six since the All-Star break, but Allen has hit the Over in more than half his total games in 2024-25, reaching 13 points in 31 of 60 appearances, including 13 of 28 home games.
Since Mobley was drafted in 2021, Allen has played 44 games without him. In those contests, he’s averaged 16.7 points compared to 14.8 with Mobley active. Allen scored 13 or more points in 31 of those 44 games, good for 70.5%. He’s reached that mark in four of six without Mobley this season, and I expect him to make it five after facing the Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls have allowed the second-most points to centers this season at 25.2 per game, and they’ve averaged 55.1 points against in the paint, most in the Association. Chicago’s interior defense has been vulnerable through the 2024-25 campaign, and with Nikola Vucevic sidelined, the short-handed frontcourt will have its hands full with Allen.
