Jazz vs Warriors Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

Although the Jazz aren't lighting the world on fire, they're competent enough to stay within 12 points vs. the struggling Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors host the Utah Jazz in NBA action tonight.

Golden State is a 12-point favorite, but my Jazz vs. Warriors predictions think that's too steep of a line for a team that has struggled lately.

Here are my free NBA picks for this Western Conference showdown on January 27.

Jazz vs Warriors prediction

My best bet
Jazz +12 (-110 at bet365)

My analysis
The Golden State Warriors have struggled over the last couple of months, and I'm not willing to lay 12 points on them against anybody right now.

Sure, the Utah Jazz are one of the worst teams in the NBA and are playing on a back-to-back after losing 125-110 to the Bucks last night, but the gap between these teams hasn't been that big.

Over the last 30 games, the Warriors are 10-20 while ranking 24th in the league in net rating at -5.4. Over the same span, the Jazz are 7-23 with a net rating of -5.7, which is only marginally worse.

Golden State has really missed do-everything forward Draymond Green (8.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game) and third-leading scorer Jonathan Kuminga (16.8 ppg) over the last few weeks. The Dubs are coming off a 10-point home loss to the Lakers and are 4-7 straight up and against the spread since Kuminga has been sidelined.

Utah has played without forward John Collins (18.1 ppg, 8.4 rpg) for most of this month, and center Walker Kessler (11.4 rpg, 2.4 bpg) missed last night, but there's a good chance that both players return today.

While the Jazz have won just five of their last 20 games, they've gone 13-7 ATS during that span and should be able to keep this game within 12 points.

Jazz vs Warriors same-game parlay

Jazz +12.5

John Collins Over 16.5 points

Andrew Wiggins Over 18.5 points

John Collins is having an injury-plagued season, but when healthy, he's been highly productive. The forward is averaging 18.1 ppg and came back from a hip injury last Wednesday to drop 22 points against the Thunder.

Collins missed the last two games with illness but is expected to be back tonight. The Warriors' defensive rating over the past month ranks 24th in the NBA.

Andrew Wiggins has scored 20+ points in five of his last seven games. He should be able to light up a Jazz team ranked 28th in the league in points per game allowed (118.6).
