Best Mavericks vs Grizzlies props

Mavericks vs Grizzlies player props for April 18

Desmond Bane Over 22.5 points (-115 at bet365)

Desmond Bane had another impressive campaign for the Memphis Grizzlies, averaging 19.2 points on 39% shooting from 3-point land. He was crucial in keeping Memphis in contention while Ja Morant was missing time due to injury.

The TCU product has stepped it up in April. This month, he’s averaged 24.2 ppg in six appearances and has cashed the Over in three consecutive games, scoring 30, 24, and 28. He even erupted for 38 in early April against the Pistons.

When it comes to facing Dallas, he’s also played well. In two meetings, Bane is averaging 23 points. He balled out in the loss to the Warriors the other night and will need to be at his best once again.

Ja Morant is also questionable, which could result in a bigger offensive workload for Bane.

Klay Thompson Under 14.5 points (-125 at bet365)

In a season where the Dallas Mavericks have dealt with constant injuries, Klay Thompson has managed to stay relatively healthy. He featured in 72 regular-season games, averaging 14 points on 39% shooting from downtown. However, his production has been inconsistent lately.

Klay has hit the Under in points in four of his previous five outings, even finishing in single digits in three of those contests. While he did drop 23 in the Play-In victory over the Kings, Thompson hasn’t had success at all against Memphis this season.

Across three matchups, the veteran sharpshooter is only averaging 11.3 points. He’s also averaging a mere 9.2 ppg in April. It’s difficult to know what version of Klay will show up on a nightly basis, but the trends certainly point to a quiet evening.

Zach Edey Over 12.5 rebounds (-105 at bet365)

Zach Edey had a tremendous Year 1 in the Association. The big man found an immediate home in Memphis, averaging 9.2 points and 8.3 rebounds in 66 appearances, including 55 starts. We’ll focus on his rebounding because Edey has been a beast on the boards lately.

In April, Edey is averaging 15.7 boards across six meetings, cashing the Over in rebounds in four of his last five games. The center grabbed 17 against Golden State and also had 16 boards against Nikola Jokic & Co. on April 11.

Although he’s averaging only 7.5 rebounds against the Mavs this season, Edey is on an absolute roll right now. He continues to make his presence felt on the glass, and Dallas is 22nd in the NBA in rebounds allowed.
