There are seven games on the NBA betting board this Saturday, with some of the league's biggest superstars taking the court, including 76ers center Joel Embiid and Grizzlies guard Ja Morant.
I'm betting on both of them to have monster games today while also backing Toronto's Swiss Army knife Scottie Barnes in my free NBA player prop picks for January 14.

Ja Rule
Memphis point guard Ja Morant is 10th in the league in scoring with 27.6 points per game and has been red-hot lately. He's fresh off a 38-point performance against San Antonio on Wednesday and has dropped more than 30 points in six of his last eight games.
He should be in line for another strong performance tonight against an Indiana team that is 20th in the league in scoring defense (115.6 ppg) and recently lost their own starting point guard Tyrese Haliburton for at least two weeks.
The Pacers could also be without center Myles Turner for the third-straight game, as he is listed as questionable with a back injury. That would be even more reason to like Morant on this prop since he scores 14.8 points in the paint per game, and the absence of Turner would leave Indiana extremely vulnerable down low.
Ja Morant Prop: Over 28.5 points (-110)
Trust The Process
The Over/Under on Joel Embiid's points total is set at a whopping 33.5. Given his production and his juicy matchup tonight, I'm playing the Over.
Embiid has scored at least 35 points in six of his last eight games. In the two contests during that span where he went below that number, he logged just 28 minutes and took a modest 17 field goal attempts. Since the start of November, Embiid is averaging an incredible 35.3 points on 21.9 FGA per game.
Embiid and the 76ers are set to face off against a Jazz team that is 26th in the league in defensive rating. The Jazz have struggled against opposing centers this season, allowing 24.1 ppg to the position and the second-most points per game in the paint (55.3).
Utah is likely better defensively with Walker Kessler at center instead of the banged-up Kelly Olynyk, but Kessler is still a rookie and will be out of his depth facing Embiid.
Joel Embiid Prop: Over 33.5 points (-102)
Barnes and Friends
Raptors forward Scottie Barnes has been wildly inconsistent with his scoring production, but he's been given plenty of minutes and has been racking up assists lately.
The sophomore is coming off a contest against Charlotte, where he scored 22 points and racked up nine assists without a single turnover. In six games this month, the sophomore forward is averaging 6.0 assists per game.
The Hawks rank 21st in the league in scoring defense with 116.2 ppg allowed, which should lead to plenty of opportunities for Barnes to accumulate assists. Barnes played against Atlanta twice earlier this season and picked up eight assists on Halloween while dropping nine dimes on November 19.
