There are seven games on the NBA betting board on Saturday night. While there are various NBA player prop wagers to consider from rebounds, assists, and turnovers, to 3-point shots made, there's something to be said for keeping things simple and looking at points scored.
That's where we are looking to make a profit tonight as we back a surging Cavs guard, trust Karl-Anthony Towns to have a good night against a tough opponent, and fade a fizzling All-Star.
Here are our best free NBA player prop picks for Saturday, March 12.

All-Star slump
When Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins was named as a starter for the All-Star game, plenty of people ripped into the selection as being the epitome of why fan voting is flawed. Wiggins has responded to the criticism... by proving them right.
Wiggins was expected to get fewer field goal attempts with Golden State welcoming Klay Thompson back to the lineup but his shooting efficiency has plummeted as well.
In 14 games since the start of February, he's averaging just 13.4 points per game on 40.6 FG% and is coming off his worst offensive performance of the year, scoring just seven points against Denver on Thursday night. The Over/Under on Wiggins points total tonight is set at 15.5 a number he has gone below in 11 of his last 14 games. We're taking the Under.
Pick: Andrew Wiggins Under 15.5 points (+100)
Going to Towns
The Minnesota Timberwolves look to bounce back from a loss to Orlando last night as they head across the state to take on the Miami Heat. The Wolves have been rolling, winning six in a row before that setback against the Magic and they look to make the postseason for the first time since 2018.
A big reason for their success has been the play of All-Star center (and reigning 3-point champion) Karl-Anthony Towns, who is averaging 24.5 points per game on 53/40/82 shooting splits. The Heat are very tough defensively and have a pretty good center of their own in Bam Adebayo but the O/U on Towns points total today still seems a tad too low at 20.5.
Towns has scored at least 21 points in four of six games this month. In the two contests where he fell shy of that number, the Wolves blew out the Thunder by 30 and 37 points which meant that he played limited minutes and didn't take many shots. He still combined to shoot an efficient 61.1% from the field in those two contests and will likely get plenty of minutes and shots tonight in what will likely be a much more competitive game against a strong Miami team.
Pick: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 20.5 points (-110)
Defend the Garland
The Cleveland Cavaliers are also on a back-to-back as they head to Chicago to take on the Bulls. The Cavs are coming off a loss to Miami where guard Darius Garland had a rare off night. Garland still managed to score 24 points despite shooting just 4-17 from the field and he's in a good spot for a bounce-back performance tonight.
The Bulls have struggled defensively since losing Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso to injuries in January. In 22 games without their two best perimeter defenders since January 23, Chicago has surrendered 116 ppg.
Garland has scored at least 24 points in eight of his last nine games, averaging 27.7 ppg over that span. He has also taken more than 20 field goal attempts in five of his last seven contests and with Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen sidelined by injuries, he'll have to carry the offensive burden again. Take the Over 23.5 on his points total.
Pick: Darius Garland Over 23.5 points (-115)
