We're now well into the 2021-22 NBA season, which has been full of unpredictability, up-and-down squads, and again, health and safety protocol curveballs.

Those trends highlight some of tonight's best NBA prop bets, as we target a rising young gun on a short-handed roster, an All-Star in the making who's keeping his inconsistent team afloat, and a pivot whose increased minutes have helped make his team one of the NBA's hottest.

Check out our best NBA prop picks for Saturday, November 13.

After playing him scarcely in the first few games of the season, the Clippers are starting realize how valuable of a piece center Ivica Zubac is to their rotation.

After playing just under 20 mpg over the season's first six games, Zubac has averaged over 28 minutes in his past five games, and has seen his rebounding numbers skyrocket as a result. In possibly-related news, the Clippers have also won six straight.

Averaging 10.75 boards in his past four contests, Zubac has gone Over tonight's total of 8.5 in three of his last four. Included in that stretch was a season-high 14 boards against tonight's opponent — the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Minnesota owns the NBA's very worst rebounding rate, and keeping Zubac on the floor will be key for the Clippers, who are liable to be bullied on the low block by Karl-Anthony Towns if they roll out any small-ball lineups.

At plus money, we're taking the Over on this total tonight.

Pick: Ivica Zubac Over 8.5 rebounds (+110 at William Hill)

Tyrese Maxey has been making the most of his opportunities this season.

First, he became the Philadelphia 76ers' de-facto starting PG when Ben Simmons held out preseason. Now, he's catching fire on offense with Joel Embiid sidelined, putting up career-best numbers.

Tyrese has been posting well-rounded stat lines, averaging a combined 37.3 points, rebounds and assists over his past three games with Philly short-handed. His total for that market sits at just 26.5 tonight against Indiana's bottom-10 defense — a number that Maxey's eclipsed with points alone in both of his last two games.

Tobias Harris' return will eat into Maxey's usage somewhat, but even with Harris active against Toronto last time out, our target dropped a season-high 33 points on 12-19 shooting.

It would take a very steep regression for Maxey to fall Under this total, and he's very much a momentum player who should be feeling himself right now. This prop can be had at 25.5 O/U at FanDuel, but we're alright taking the extra digit for less juice given Maxey's play of late.

Pick: Tyrese Maxey Over 26.5 points+rebounds+assists (-110 at William Hill)

Taking Ja Morant Overs in various counting stats markets has been a solid practice so far this year. Memphis' star PG is in the midst of a breakout that had some pundits – albeit, perhaps prematurely – proclaiming him an early-season MVP candidate

Memphis has stumbled a bit since its roaring start, including a 119-94 ass-kicking by the Suns last night on its home floor. But Morant has still been spectacular, averaging 26.5 points on the season and topping tonight's O/U of 23.5 in eight of 12 games so far.

Morant's a dogged competitor who plays with a chip on his shoulder and is absolutely going to come out pissed off tonight after a dismal result against Phoenix.

And getting served up for him like a four-course dinner are the New Orleans Pelicans, who sit dead-last in the West at 1-12 and own the NBA's worst defensive rating. The awful defense also applies to the point-guard position, where NOP allows the fourth-most points to opposing PGs, per Hashtag Basketball.

Don't worry about Morant being on a back-to-back. He's got young legs and boundless energy, and won't chance on letting the Grizzlies suffer an L against the pitiful Pels.

Pick: Ja Morant Over 23.5 points (-105 at DraftKings)
