The San Antonio Spurs have dropped back-to-back games and have fallen back to .500. Tonight features a tough test for a club already sans head coach Gregg Popovich, as they will face a stiff test on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Although Milwaukee has also had its fair share of struggles down the stretch, we expect the home team to pull away in our Spurs vs. Bucks predictions.

Spurs vs Bucks prediction

My best bet
Bucks -5 (-110 at bet365)

My analysis

Through Christmas, it seemed that the Milwaukee Bucks had turned the corner. They had gone 13-4 in 17 games spanning since mid-November and helped claw their way to a 16-12 record after initially starting 2-8.

Although their offense has largely fallen flat this season, the Bucks should find some traction against the San Antonio Spurs tonight. The Spurs have suffered their own fair share of offense struggles, and they'll face a much taller task of facing off against a Bucks defense that boasts a Top 10 mark in defensive rating.

By comparison, Giannis Antetokounmpo & Co. are set to face off against a 17th-ranked San Antonio defense. Even though the Spurs have allowed the sixth-lowest three-point percentage on the year (34.8%), the Bucks — who have made threes at the second-best clip this year — have found a way to shoot above that mark in each of the three games they've played against the Spurs since Victor Wembanyama was drafted.

Take Milwaukee to prevail and cover in front of its home fans.

Spurs vs Bucks same-game parlay

Bucks -5

Victor Wembanyama Under 25.5 points

Chris Paul Over 9.5 points

The Bucks have allowed the fewest points to opposing centers, clocking in at 19.0 per game. In fact, just one center has posted 20+ points against Milwaukee since December 9.

They have been a bit more porous against point guards, however, as their 25.9 points allowed per game is the fourth-worst mark on the season. Chris Paul has also reached double-digits in all but one of his last four games against Milwaukee.
