While known as a score-first player, Kyle Kuzma has upped his playmaking for the Bucks in recent games. Expect that to continue tonight.

What would seem like an “April Fools” joke is a grim reality for these teams, with the Phoenix Suns plummeting down the Western standings and the Milwaukee Bucks battling to avoid the Play-In round in the East.

My Suns vs. Bucks predictions expect Kyle Kuzma to continue facilitating with Damian Lillard still out and his team in desperate need of a win.

Suns vs Bucks prediction

My best bet: Kyle Kuzma Over 2.5 assists (+135 at bet365)

My analysis
The Milwaukee Bucks' offensive output took a big hit when star guard Damian Lillard was forced out of action due to blood clot issues last month.

Lillard has missed the past six games with the Bucks going 3-3 straight up, not only erasing his 25 points per game but also his seven assists. In his absence, however, Milwaukee is getting some solid playmaking from Kyle Kuzma

The 6-foot-9 small forward averages just 2.4 assists on the season but has registered three or more dimes in four of those six games without Lillard (averaging 3.17 assists in that span). Kuzma is getting more touches in the Bucks' offense, and his potential assists have climbed to 5.8 per game in those six outings.

While he only had one assist in Milwaukee’s loss to Atlanta on Sunday, he’s put up four, four, and five dimes in three of those recent games — one of which came against the Suns on March 24 (108-106 loss).

Phoenix limps into Tuesday without Kevin Durant in action and could also be missing Bradley Beal. The Suns currently rank among the worst defensive teams in the league and have been even worse during their three-game slide.

Over the past three contests, Phoenix has watched foes post outputs of 148, 132, and 128 points with those opponents averaging 33.7 assists.

Player models for Kuzma all sit above his assist total of 2.5 O/U, but some projections are picking up on his accelerated passing prowess with Lillard sidelined, calling for 3.5 and 4.0 dimes vs. Phoenix tonight.

My number is a bit more tempered, coming out to 3.25, which should have Kuzma's assist prop priced at Over 2.5 -165. Shopping around, you can find Over 2.5 assists at +135.

Suns vs Bucks same-game parlay

Kyle Kuzma 3+ assists

Giannis Antetokounmpo 30+ points

Milwaukee Bucks moneyline

Kuzma has picked up his passing with Lillard out, and projections call for as many as four assists tonight.

Giannis is expected to play tonight with forecasts as tall as 30 points against a Suns defense giving up a ton of buckets.

Milwaukee needs this win badly, entering tonight on a four-game losing streak.
