Thunder vs Clippers Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

The Thunder are on a nice run, with Isaiah Hartenstein putting in work on both ends of the floor. Look for the 7-footer to put up a double-double vs. the Clippers, per our NBA betting picks.

A couple of surging teams collide at Intuit Dome tonight when the Los Angeles Clippers host the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Clippers have won five straight games, while the Thunder are also in search of their sixth straight win.

OKC could be without a couple key players in Jalen Williams and Luguentz Dort, so I’m expecting Isaiah Hartenstein to step up with another double-double in my Thunder vs. Clippers predictions and NBA picks for Sunday, March 23.

Thunder vs Clippers prediction

My best bet: Isaiah Hartenstein double-double (+145 at bet365)

My analysis
The Oklahoma City Thunder rolled to their fifth straight win Friday with a 141-106 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way, as usual, with 30 points while Isaiah Hartenstein added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double.

It marked the third straight double-double for the OKC center as well as his sixth in his last nine games, and I think he can make it four straight tonight vs. the Los Angeles Clippers.

Hartenstein has logged 26 double-doubles in 48 games this season, which is pretty remarkable considering that he’s averaging just 28 minutes per game. The 7-footer is by far the Thunder’s top rebounding option at 11.1 boards per game and will be counted on to chip in with a few more points with Jalen Williams (hip) ruled out tonight.

The Clippers have been a pretty mediocre rebounding team this season at 43.8 rebounds per game (20th) as they’re really a one-man show in Ivica Zubac, who’s pulling down 12.5 boards per contest.

As long as Hartenstein does his job in his own end of the court, where he’s averaging over eight defensive boards per game, he should be good to lock in a fourth straight double-double.

Thunder vs Clippers same-game parlay

Isaiah Hartenstein double-double

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 30+ points

Thunder moneyline

Gilgeous-Alexander has scored 30+ points in four straight contests and nine of his last 10 and will have to carry the load offensively for OKC tonight with his running mate, Jalen Williams, sidelined.

Even with Williams out, the Thunder come into tonight’s game as the 3-point favorite. That’s due in part to their defense, which has held opponents to just 104.5 ppg over their last four outings.

James Harden is on a heater right now, but that likely isn’t sustainable for the 35-year-old, and we could see the Thunder slow his roll with a smothering defensive effort tonight.
