My analysis
The Alabama Crimson Tide boast the second-best record in the SEC at 9-1. They've looked like national title contenders and are 14-1 straight up and 10-5 against the spread since the start of December.
Meanwhile, it's been a rough introduction to the SEC for the Texas Longhorns, who have gone 4-7 in conference play. Texas is coming off back-to-back losses, 78-70 to Arkansas at home last Wednesday and 86-78 at Vanderbilt on Saturday. Not being able to slow down a pair of middling offenses is bad news with Alabama's high-flying offense coming to town.
Not only does Bama rank third in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency but that elite attack hasn't seen much of a drop-off away from home. The Tide are 7-0 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, averaging an incredible 92.6 ppg over that span.
On the other end of the floor, the Tide aren't as bad defensively as the surface numbers suggest. The Tide don't force turnovers and play at a blazing-fast pace, which allows opponents to put up points. However, those extra points for Texas won't be efficient.
The Longhorns are just 13th in the SEC in eFG% (47.6%) and 10th in 3-point percentage (30.9%) during conference play, while the Tide sit second in the conference in opponent eFG% (46.5%) while ranking first in 3-point defense (28.7%).
With the Longhorns unable to consistently knock down perimeter and midrange shots, they won't be able to keep up with Alabama's up-tempo attack tonight.

Although freshman Tre Johnson leads the Longhorns with 19.0 ppg, I've been more impressed with his growth as a passer over the last month.
In Johnson's first 17 contests, he averaged 2.0 assists per game, but he has since recorded 3+ assists in five straight games, averaging 4.2 apg over that span. With Alabama 317th in the country in scoring defense (78.4 ppg allowed) and that number ticking up to 84.5 ppg away from home, Johnson should be able to eclipse his assists total tonight.
Grant Nelson averages 12.9 ppg and has dropped 15+ points in three straight games. He should be able to get buckets against a Longhorns side that ranks 12th in the SEC in adjusted defense during conference play.
