Who will win
Morehouse

My analysis
Tuskegee will be traveling from Alabama and Morehouse from Atlanta in this showcase of teams from historically black colleges and universities, all the way on the West Coast.

Morehouse is coming off a close 66-64 loss to Fort Valley State last time out, putting an end to a 4-game winning streak.

The Maroon Tigers are a Top 4 scoring team in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, where they put up 73 points per game.

Their leading scorer is Cedric Taylor III, who is putting up 15.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest.

JerMontae Hill is the only other active player averaging double-digit scoring at 10.7 per contest, while Omar Rowe is shooting a crisp 44% from 3-point range.

Tuskegee enters Saturday having lost four of its last six, including a close 65-62 defeat at the hands of Lane in their last contest.

The Golden Tigers lean on a defense that ranks second in the SIAC in points allowed at 63.2 per game. They’re first in field goal shooting D, limiting teams to 38.1%, and second in defending the arc, with opponents limited to a 28.4% clip from 3-point range.

That defense is what helps them stay in games. While Morehouse is a Top 4 offensive unit, Tuskegee ranks Bottom 4 in the conference, putting up just 64.6 points per game.

Much of their scoring comes from the duo of Kevin Sesberry and Kusamae Draper, who each average 15.6 points per game.

Tuskegee has taken two of the last three head-to-heads, but Morehouse is the hotter team and should be able to put up enough points to leave Oakland with a win.
