Pac-12 Conference Tournament analysis
3/17: It was always the No. 4-seeded Oregon Ducks... right? Wrong. With opening odds of +1,200 for the Pac-12 tourney, these Ducks earned their way to the title, taking down top-seeded Arizona in the semifinals before upsetting No. 3-seeded Colorado in the title game, earning their spot in the Big Dance as a result.
Previous Pac-12 Conference Tournament action
3/16: Oregon kept its March Madness hopes alive by upsetting No. 1 seed Arizona in the Pac-12 semis, holding the dynamic Wildcats to just 59 points. Pulling off a milder upset was Colorado, toppling Washington State to set up its own effort to solidify a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
3/15: It's Pac-12 title or bust for Oregon, but that will be a tall ask as it's in the 12/1 range to win the tournament, in part to facing favorite Arizona (around -200) in the semifinals where the Ducks opened as 10.5-point underdogs.
The other semifinal features Washington State, which is around +600 to win the tournament, sitting at +2.5 against Colorado (+350ish), largely due to Wazzu already safely in the Big Dance... and the Buffs needing a win to feel more comfortable on the bubble.
3/14: Public play USC needed a second-half comeback in Round 1 to get past Washington, but the Trojans will be in tough in today's quarterfinal against No. 1 seed (and odds-on favorite) Arizona, opening as nearly double-digit underdogs.
The other big spread for today comes from No. 2 seed Washington State, which opened -8.5 against 10th-seeded Stanford, while No. 6 Utah, who beat ASU by 33, is a slim underdog to Colorado and UCLA follows the Oregon Trail, opening +3 vs. the Ducks after cruising past Oregon State in R1.
3/13: Arizona remains the odds-on favorite, with No. 3 seed Colorado second on the odds board as Washington State has taken a bit of a dip ahead of tip-off, moving from the 5/1 range to being as long as +700.
However, BetMGM is reporting that the ninth-seeded USC Trojans (+1,400) are the public play, getting almost 40% of the Pac-12 tourney handle and 35% of all tickets, an interesting selection considering the Trojans were well below .500 in conference play... but defeated Arizona in the regular season finale (albeit a game that meant nothing for the Wildcats).
SoCal also has to take the long road to a title (and March Madness berth), beginning play this afternoon vs. the No. 8 Washington Huskies.
3/11: The Wildcats open as the odds-on favorites in an underwhelming Pac-12 field, sitting as short as -175 at some outlets, with Colorado and Washington State both in the 5/1 range, then the rest of the field at +1,000 or longer.
The interesting note is blue blood UCLA — the No. 5 seed in the bracket — sitting around eighth in terms of odds, which seems appropriate as despite its .500 conference record (and juicy first-round matchup against OSU) the Bruins had a losing record this year and should be treated as lower than a fifth seed.

The final day of Pac-12 conference play (forever?!?) saw a fair bit of shuffling, as the UCLA Bruins jumped up to No. 5 in the tournament — despite having a losing record overall — while Utah slots in at No. 6 and Washington tumbled down to the eighth spot.
Arizona was still the class of the conference, finishing at 15-5 in Pac-12 action, while Wazzu, Colorado, and Oregon round out the only programs that finished above .500 in conference play.

The Arizona Wildcats have dominated the Pac-12 of late, winning four of the last seven conference tournaments — and five of the last 10 (with an additional runner-up) overall — although the 2017/2018 titles have been vacated due to NCAA penalties.
After the Wildcats, Oregon has also been prevalent in Pac-12 championships, with three wins in five appearances over the last decade, including its most recent title in 2024.
