The TCU Horned Frogs and Kansas Jayhawks do battle at the Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. on CBS.
The Horned Frogs have managed just a .500 record in Big 12 play, but it can make a move up the standings with a victory on the road.
The Jayhawks suffered their first conference loss on Tuesday, falling 83-82 in overtime in Manhattan against their in-state rival, and have failed to cover in three straight outings.
Can the Jayhawks bounce back after their Sunflower State rivalry game loss, or will the Horned Frogs be a thorn in their side in this titanic Big 12 tilt? Find out in our college basketball picks and predictions below.

TCU vs Kansas picks and predictions
The TCU Horned Frogs are coming off their own setback on the road, losing 74-65 at West Virginia last time out as the Under came through. In fact, TCU has dropped three of the past four outings, with its lone win a 14-point victory against K-State.
Losses to Iowa State, Texas, and West Virginia are nothing to be ashamed of, but does it have enough to upend an angry Kansas side? Doubtful.
The Kansas Jayhawks had won 10 consecutive games from November 28 to January 14 before the narrow 1-point loss in OT against the Wildcats. The Jayhawks did a decent job, hitting at a 43% clip (26-for-60) from the field, but KU hit just 21% (6-for-29) from behind the arc, and it turned the rock over 15 times.
The 65-point effort for TCU last time out in West Virginia was actually the lowest offensive production since notching just 59 in a win against California on a neutral court back on November 25.
The Horned Frogs have been on a tear against the number, going 9-3-1 ATS in the past 13 games overall despite the frequent setbacks. In addition, TCU has managed a solid 14-5-1 ATS mark in the past 20 games on the road dating back to last season.
In addition, the road team has cashed in six of the past eight games, so TCU is a solid option to bounce back and at least cover the number, although Kansas should do enough to at least get back into the win column.

TCU vs Kansas spread analysis
TCU has scored some impressive victories this season, including a win and cover against Iowa on a neutral floor back on November 26, as well as a victory at home against Providence on November 30. TCU also has signature wins at Utah, home against Texas Tech, and home against Kansas State, which really enhances its NCAA Tournament resume.
More importantly, TCU is 4-0-1 ATS in the aforementioned games, and it also covered in a loss at Texas back on January 11. Even if the Horned Frogs don’t win, they make the other team work hard for it.
Kansas hasn’t been nearly as hot against the number. While the Jayhawks have been winning on the regular, it has failed to cover the past three outings. Kansas is also 2-5 ATS in the past seven games overall.
The Jayhawks are also 0-4 ATS in the past four games at Allen Fieldhouse, while going 2-5 ATS in the previous seven tries against teams with a winning overall record.
Kansas hasn’t been very good after a straight-up loss, too, going 2-5 ATS in the past seven after a setback, while going 2-6 ATS in the past eight after a non-cover.
TCU vs Kansas Over/Under analysis
For totals, the lean is to the Under, but go with just a half-unit play at best.
While the Under is 4-0 in the past four games against winning teams for TCU, the Over is 4-1 in the past five games for TCU and 5-1 in the past six games on the road.
For Kansas, the Under is 4-0 in the past four games against winning sides, too, while going 11-5 in the past 16 games following a non-cover.
Despite averaging 77.4 points per game, TCU is hard to depend on when betting the Over. The Frogs are horrific from behind the race, hitting at just a 28.7% clip, and they also hold their opponents to just 29.4% from deep as well. That's a boon to Under bettors.
Kansas has a solid offense, hitting at 77.2 ppg. The thing which helps Under bettors is that the Jayhawks leave a lot of points on the floor with a bad free-throw shooting percentage (70.8%). Defensively, it limits teams to 40.1% from the field.
Again, play the Under lightly, but I wouldn’t go so far as to include it with TCU and the points in a parlay. It’s just not worth it.
