The Villanova Wildcats are coming off a dud performance against Marquette. But most teams are having dud performances against Marquette. That’s a team nobody wants to face in March.
The Wildcats will be fine going up against Georgetown. The Hoyas have lost five straight games and lost to that same Marquette team by nearly 30 points, at home.
The Wildcats are shooting an effective field goal percentage of 51.4% while turning the ball over just 14.8% of the time. They’ve also earned 32.3% offensive rebounds on the year.
Also, Villanova should be really solid from 3-point range. The Wildcats have hit 35.6% of threes while Georgetown is allowing teams to shoot 35.6% from three this season.
The Hoyas are giving up an effective field goal percentage of 51.7% and really don’t force turnovers at a high rate. The Hoyas are doing a solid job keeping teams off the line and that shouldn’t change against Villanova. Still, the defense hasn’t been great.

If Villanova scores 80 points in this game, all Georgetown will have to do is find a way to score 60 points to cash the Over.
So, while I don’t trust Georgetown all that much, I still believe it can contribute to the Over, knowing Villanova should be able to get 80 points in this game.
