It's not your typical Sunday Night Football matchup at this stage of the season as the 2-5 Chicago Bears head out West to take on the 2-4 Los Angeles Chargers.

The Week 8 odds are large in favor of the Chargers, as Justin Fields will once again be sitting for the Bears. However, Tyson Bagent has performed well in his absence and this could set up a high-scoring matchup with Justin Herbert and Co.

Find out what my NFL picks are for tonight's affair when I take a deep dive into the SNF odds

Bears vs Chargers SNF props

Prop bet #1: Bagent on the run

The Chicago Bears offense was designed for a rushing quarterback in Fields, but it's not like Tyson Bagent is a strictly pocket passer. While he only had three rush attempts last week against the Raiders, he still mustered 24 yards in those scrambles. That included one run for 12 yards alone.

In the preseason finale where Bagent saw his most action, he took off four times for 23 yards. In college, sacks are counted against rushing yards so it's a little misleading to just look at his numbers, but Bagent did have 224 rushing attempts in 53 career games. It won't take much to hit this Over in his rushing yards.

The Los Angeles Chargers have faced two QBs with solid running ability and they both burned Los Angeles. Dak Prescott ran for 40 yards on seven attempts and Patrick Mahomes ran for 29 yards on four attempts. Even Kirk Cousins and Ryan Tannehill reached double-digit yards on the ground.

The Chargers have the horses on the defensive front to put pressure in the backfield and send Bagent on the move. We likely won’t see much of a volume here for Bagent, but at such a low number, he could break the Over on just one nice scramble.

Prop bet #2: Share the wealth

Keenan Allen is a target hog and gobbles them up like an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. However, because of that, his reception prop totals are now insanely high — Sunday night's is 7.5.

Allen has a whopping 46 catches on 54 targets this season, but most of that came from a monster 18-reception game in Week 3. If you take that game out of the picture, Allen averages 5.6 catches on 8.8 targets per game. Those are nice numbers to see when looking at taking his Under in total receptions.

While the Bears have a bad pass defense, they don't typically let the main receiving target go off for a huge game. No single player has had more than seven catches in a single game against Chicago this season. Davante Adams had seven catches last week and Terry McLaurin had four catches three weeks ago.

I would expect to see a big game for Allen in this one, but asking for eight catches is just too much. The Under is a solid play as the Bears will force Herbert to look elsewhere for a good part of this game.

Keenan Allen prop: Under 7.5 receptions (-145 at bet365)

Prop bet #3: Mistakes happen

I already mentioned how the Chargers are going to be able to get pressure on Bagent. Well, that pressure can so easily lead to an interception. While Bagent played a clean game last week, I'm not expecting to see a similar performance on Sunday night.

Bagent threw a pick late in the game against the Vikings when he came in late for the injured Fields and this is going to be a tough spot for the rookie in a game in which he is likely going to be trailing for much of it.

The Chargers have already forced 10 turnovers this season so between the trailing game script and the good pressure Los Angeles will put on Bagent, I expect him to throw at least one INT in this game.

Tyson Bagent prop: Over 0.5 interceptions (-145 at bet365)
