Texans vs Chiefs best bet, player props, SGP

Texans vs Chiefs best bet

  • C.J. Stroud Under 228.5 passing yards (-115 BetMGM)

C.J. Stroud’s completion rate outdoors is just below 59% (compared to 65% inside), his average yards per attempt sinks to 6.6 (versus eight yards per throw indoors), and his passer rating sits short of 84.0, in stark contrast to a 99.6 rating away from the elements.

The forecast for Saturday’s 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff calls for sub-freezing temperatures and wind gusts flirting with 30 mph, which will make it “feel like” 11 degrees. NFL games see an 8% decrease in passing production in games with temperatures below 25 degrees.

Texans vs Chiefs props

  • Patrick Mahomes Under 37.5 passing attempts (-125 BetMGM)
  • C.J. Stroud Over 20.5 passing completions (-130 BetMGM)
  • Joe Mixon Over 16.5 receiving yards (-115 BetMGM)

Texans vs Chiefs anytime TD picks

  • Joe Mixon anytime TD (+125 BetMGM)
  • Travis Kelce anytime TD (+150 BetMGM)

Texans vs Chiefs SGP

C.J. Stroud Under 228.5 passing yards

Chiefs -8.5

Isiah Pacheco anytime TD

Stroud’s stats slide outside and he faces the best pass defense in the NFL on Saturday night.

The Chiefs have another gear in the playoffs and will flex their muscle with a big win to start the Super Bowl run.

Isiah Pacheco will get the goal-line carries and is a monster to deal with in the playoffs.

Commanders vs Lions best bet, player props, SGP

Commanders vs Lions best bet

  • Zach Ertz Over 3.5 receptions (-113 Caesars)

The Detroit Lions' man coverage will take away Jayden Daniels’ top threats like Terry McLaurin and have him settling for his checkdown options.

Zach Ertz has been Daniels’ safety blanket in his first year. He finished the regular season second on the team with 91 targets, hauling 66 of those passes for an average of 3.9 receptions per game.

Commanders vs Lions props

  • Jared Goff Under 272.5 passing yards (-117 Caesars)
  • Jayden Daniels Over 55.5 rushing yards (-117 Caesars)
  • Terry McLaurin Over 68.5 receiving yards (-117 Caesars)

Commanders vs Lions anytime TD picks

  • Jayden Daniels anytime TD (+140 Caesars)
  • Sam LaPorta anytime TD (+135 Caesars)

Jayden Daniels prop

  • Over 234.5 passing yards (-117 Caesars)

Commanders vs Lions SGP

Zach Ertz Over 3.5 receptions

Olamide Zaccheaus anytime TD

Commanders +9.5

Ertz’s projections call for four catches, and the Lions defense will force Daniels to check it down to his TE.

Olamide Zaccheaus has been one of Daniels’ favorite options in the home stretch, and while he had a quiet Wild Card Round, he’s demonstrated a nose for the end zone.

I think this game will be closer than the books predict.
