The Detroit Lions travel to face the San Francisco 49ers for a MNF tilt on December 30.

The Lions are rightful favorites but need to keep on winning if they want to earn that bye week. Central to their hopes is quarterback Jared Goff, so let’s look into the best ways to bet on Jared Goff odds.

Here are my best NFL picks centering around Detroit's QB.

My best bet
Over 250.5 passing yards (-113 at FanDuel)

My analysis
When it comes to the Lions’ quarterback, there’s one market that really leaps out, and that’s his passing yard total, which sits at 250.5. We’re going to take the Over on that line for the following reasons.

While this 49ers defense have been particularly good at limiting teams passing on them this season, this Lions team are a different level and we’ve seen Ben Johnson continue to find ways to attack teams through the air.

The injury to David Montgomery is one that really helps inspire confidence in the Goff passing yards Over here. Last week we saw the team lean heavily on Gibbs as expected, giving him 23 carries, surely approaching the maximum workload possible for him.  Without Montgomery, they need to ensure they continue to pass.

Goff’s line sits at 250.5, 12.5 yards lower than his season average of 273. He’s thrown for Over that 250.5 mark in five of his past six games and has put up huge numbers in the past couple of weeks, throwing 494 yards against a good Bills defense and following that up with 336 last week against the Bears.

The past month has seen Goff really playing at his very best. Across the past four games, he’s thrown 1,334 yards, 13 passing touchdowns, and all of that with just one interception.

This is a QB playing at the top of his game and he’s playing with real confidence. Taking that into Monday’s game against the Niners should give him the belief to overcome a strong defense and cover his passing yard total.

Jared Goff MNF same-game parlay

Jared Goff Over 250.5 passing yards

Jared Goff Over 1.5 passing touchdowns

Amon-Ra St. Brown anytime touchdown

Goff has Over 1.5 passing touchdowns in 11 of his 15 games so far this season and has consistently been confident in trusting his arm in the red zone, with the team scheming him up brilliantly.

He’s thrown two or more touchdowns in his past four games and is likely to today, especially given the lack of Monty for the ground game.

For our final leg of this MNF SGP we’re backing Amon-Ra St. Brown to find the endzone. He’s scored 11 TDs so far this season and has been the main outlet in the passing game.

He scored in eight straight games earlier this season, and after a quiet spell, he’s now gone two games in a row with a score. It’s essential he keeps firing ahead of the playoffs and he can cause this Niners’ defense problems.
